hi all,

ive got a 2007 tfsi BUL engine code a4 avant, it sort of has a splutter on acceration,

almost like the engine mounts are made of elastic, or your being towed by a strechy towbar,

the engine doesnt missfire at all, it runs perfect,

ive checked/replaced the pcv valve, plugs, coils, fuel pump follower,

i have VCDS and there are no fualt codes, and no ecu issues,

im wondering if any one has had simular issues and it turned out to be enine mounts, the snub mount is perfect but there is a little bit of oil weaping from the engine mounts,

thanks andi

They are hydraulic engine mounts andi , if oil is leaking out they require replacing.

Replaced mine with solid B5 RS4 one's and tied the sensor back, bit more vibration but feels good and means they'll never need to be replaced again.

... Mine's a 1.9tdi though, probably the same for your engine, if not there will be something similar plus your engine will have less vibration because it's not a diesel.

Don't think BUL ones are hydraulic. Mine certainly aint!

Edit: Im thinking of the electro-hydraulic ones. Pretty sure these only came on diesels.
