Hi, I'm trying to get hold of the security access codes for all my modules that require one but not having much luck. There is the odd guide to something (retrofit etc) that may mention one code for one module. Some info also says the codes should pop up in a bubble when at the screen requiring the code, but I get nothing pop up - may be because it's a tablet rather than me having a mouse (so you can't 'hover' over something).

There's also mention of the codes being in the Bently manuals - but unless I know for definite the codes do work I'm loathe to shell out for that!

There's no specific reason I need them right now, just having a play really. But would like them for future reference anyway.

I'm using full genuine VCDS (think it's at 15.7 at the min). Can post full auto-scan result if that's going to help.

As you have an 8P the needed codes should all be documented within VCDS. To get the bubble to pop you need to mouse over the Code entry box. You could try downloading Touch Mouse Pointer. This will give you a virtual trackpad on the screen and access to a pointer. Is what I use on my tablet:

Ok thanks, will give that a try. Hoping to figure out how to have the tablet charge at the same time as using USB devices but it's proving tricky so far!

still struggling with this :(

hovering over the box only works for one or two modules unfortunately.

Anyone know what the access code for the bose / sound system is at least? got an android head unit in now and want to tinker with the sound

Maybe make sure that you are a verified user as far as RossTech are concerned, and contact them directly, they will get back to you quickly, though remember they are probably at least 8 hours behind us!

I know this thread is old, but a google for a security code brought me here, and it'd be nice to find the answer I was looking for ...found this one elsewhere and thought it may help someone (or even myself) in future: 12233

Good Luck.
