2009 Audi A6 (gear box malfunction )

Hey guy, does any have an answer for the gear box light now no movement at all , feels like when I start it, and switch the gear, i use to feel the car switch , now nothing when I move the stick in any gear and it doesn't move in any gear not even neutral to push it unless I power the car down in neutral then it is pushable, there isn't any little lock light on next to the mile numbers which I was told too look for and because it's not there it's a good thing
