No need to yank at the glass, they just pull off the back. I got to be quite an expert at it when my ali ones were nicked. They just need a bit of persuasion and then they pull away from the housing. Then just line up all the clips with the new one and they just snap back on. I even found a video on youtube showing how to do it. It's really quite disappointing to see it takes 10 seconds to remove a wing mirror cover and explains why they are so easy to steal. :(

Hmm, don't suppose you still have that video do you? I've got the instructions it came with and some that Rob sent me and they're pretty long winded!

Not enough Cosmos Blue pics on here so added these 2 . 2nd pic shows up how it looks in strong light and is totally different when seen in lower light levels when it can be navy blue or even black or again in stronger light but from a changed angle will appear purple. Very unusual colour but I am glad I went for it.

Considering it's quite a bold choice of colour (especially on a car) I like it :D

That's a very unique colour for the S3 and stunning when the sunlight hits it.....how did you come to choose this colour,l have seen it on the RS6/RS7

Took some pictures of the car yesterday whilst the sun was out! The ara blue with the crystal effect really does pop in sun light.
So glad with my choice of colour :)

Hey guys! Im following this thread daily and are close to order my new S3 .... there is just one "small" detail i need to figure out which is the color :)

Currently im split between Ara and Scuba and wonder if anyone has nice HQ A3/S3 Scuba pictures arround? Ara is awesome but im not sure if i like it with the black grill which would good with Scuba i guess.

I mostly agree with you, dark colours on the S3 look better with the chrome bits as it provides contrast. The OP was talking about a white car, IMHO applies to all light colours, and the black looks awesome and for me focuses the attention on the colour.

Additionally here in Aus, we still get silver mirror caps and choice of wheels even with black styling... it's not an 'edition' here but rather just a styling option.

Posted this pic a while back... I almost bought a pfl before the fl was announced and was dead set on the black pack then, although on the FL I find myself actually liking the chrome grill!

Okay... i dropped Scuba. Saw it today on an A1 and its not my color.

Anyone got good pictures of an Ara Blue S3 Sportback with Panorama Roof, Chroma Grill and Privacy Glass?

Have you seen mine? Ara Blue Black Edition Sportback, will give you an idea, no pan roof or chrome though of course.

I have to agree with this, especially as it's what I've ordered. :)

Normally I'd say the contrast helps, but with the FL grey in the front grill I think the chrome really suits it. Might change my mind when it arrives but so far I'm a big thumbs up for the chrome on a white S3

lol you have to pull forward otherwise when it's busy you get people park across the front of you, go forward a few feet and they can't. Same as sticking close to the line on the passenger side, more room to get out, plus some of the others park like they've never driven before :grinning:
