yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Just got a call from my dealer saying my car is on a transporter and will be with them tomorrow/Friday, pickup booked for 4pm Friday!

Spoke to salesman today, car will be delivered to me 6th Apr. Now the agonising wait.

Our orders must be going down the production line at the same time, mine also changed to 20 today :grin: like yourself mine dips below £40k only by £135 though :sweatsmile:

Well, I did do that, they have received some cars which are still on the transporter and he will let me know once he has confirmed this is the case!! Cant wait for the phone call!!:):)

I know I cant believe it yet, dealer hasn't confirmed yet, but according to Audi UK it has reached the Audi Centre!! still surprised the last bit sailed through! See what he says and let us know and I reckon you should be here either later on today or tomorrow . Your quite close to the port aswell, Have you spoke to Audi CS ? See what there system says?
 
The dream is over. Confirmed 100% it won't be status 60 til Monday.

Self collection not an option, Audi are blocking early registrations and collections from port apparently so definitely won't be at the dealers til Monday. It is what it is, have to accept it now! First world problems to th extreme though ha!

got confirmation our A1 left Emden for sheerness yesterday, so probably being pulled off the ship that is there now.

I know we are all pretty much in agreement of the situation, but just to add proof, this is the response from my local dealership regarding registration before it's in dealer hands.

Good news is my car is now status 38, rather than 30 as it shows on yourAudi. I've been told the whole time normally the dealer has a delayed view compared to the customer, but today it is the other way around?

"Ok regarding registering the car unfortunately this needs to be here on site for us to be able to register with DVLA. Currently if a car is a UK port status 40 Audi are blocking us from issuing a registration number until its arrived at dealer. Your car is showing at status 38 which is at the German port of exit so it will be a April registration sorry. Once its arrives in the UK port I will then update you and call to start arranging collection dates."
 
Someone same week as us left factory yesterday I was today hopefully ull be tomorrow and make it on the same boat

Well, I'll have to join you with that. Most likely to pick up next week now, although it's with the dealers but its with their PDI centre, they need time with it. They will check it thoroughly and ensure there are no problems. I don't want them to rush it either, they will try for Friday if not it has to be sometime next week otherwise.

Ah well, things happen will just have to accept it.

Yeah, its unfortunate timing but I think we knew what we were in for when we ordered.

The frustrating part is seeing people with same build week getting sorted in time. As well as some of the BW8 and 9 guys on here who, if we mirrored a similar timescale as them, we would have been sorted in time too. If I wasn't given any hope by earlier information this would have been easier to swallow.

Nevermind, if this is the worst thing to happen to me for a while I'll take it for sure!! :D

Ordered an A3 S-Line 1.4 tfsi on the 20th March and after being told it would be delivered est. 31/07/2017 its now showing in the tracker as starting on the 17/07/2017. So more like mid August no? In all your experience how likely is this start date likely to be true to life? I thought you get a build week, but no mention of that as yet. What to expect?

If it's anything like mine the build date will move 3 times before it gets close to that anyway. Hopefully you get it sooner. As waiting is rubbish.

Is there any ships over emden heading to Grimsby in the next day or so ? I cant remember the website to track them from last time

Isar Highway is in Emden now and will arrive on the 31st in Grimsby
 
My Build week 14 S3 Sportback is in the panel shop! Been a long wait.

Congrats! Still gutted to know I was on the same ship as you and @Sam Millar and my car won't be delivered til monday/tuesday and it only has to travel ~30 miles :( I'm sure I'll get over it when I sit behind the wheel, but for now I remain butthurt :sign unfair:

I was BW10 and my dealer calle dme on Tuesday to confirm I was on the ship and CS this morning confirmed I was status 40

Don't worry, i'm in the same situation as you, unhappy, although they have the vehicle, I wont get it till next week because of their PDI centre. So I will also have to pay the tax increase and I believe @Sam Millar will also be collecting next week. Well, we arrived on the same boat and we WILL get our cars next week and pay the price!!. Like you said sitting behind the wheel will surely help ease the pain. Hate the tax man I always feel like he's targeting me lol!! Trying to be positive !! :grimacing:

Okay so my car has been sat at the Port of Emden since 21/03/17. Currently City Of Oslo ship is sat at Emden port.. does anybody know the next departure for this ship and if so is it going to Sheerness?! Cheers

FYI response from CS on time scales:

CS - Once at the Port (german side), vehicles can wait up to 14 days to be loaded onto a boat for the UK. If the ship arrives during the working week, vehicles take on average 24 hours to be unloaded. Your car can then wait for up to one week to be assigned to a transporter for delivery to the Audi Centre. Once the vehicle is on the transporter the timescale for delivery to the Audi Centre is three to five working days.

I then asked about if there is a delay due to a lot of cars being at the german port and they said:

CS - This may vary, it may be due to the time of year that some vehicles may sit at the Port of Exit for14 days. Once a vehicle is sat at the Port of Exit for 15 days, it is then priority for the next ship.

Salesman just confirmed my S3 was unloaded this afternoon off the transporter at their showroom. 6th Apr

The 15 days however only count from the day the car was released for shipping. In my case the car arrived at Emden on the 16th and was released for shipping on the 20th. So 15 days would be the 4th of April. If I am not on the City of Oslo tomorrow, its going to be at least 15 days.
 
Finally collected yesterday! So happy and it was worth the wait. Thanks to the help from you guys here on the forum and it's good to know that others were in the same boat too. Hope you all get them soon! Tom
