Thanks appreciate the input. The Rs6 calliper arrived without the carriers. I now have to work out if the original BITDI ones will be useable.
Also the dust shield at the back i thin maybe needed to be swapped out. What I can se from the parts breakdown it is required to remove the driveshaft hub where the wheel bolts onto to achieve this or to cut the new dust shield to allow it slot on without hub removal.

Im also told that the front calliper stay require a different length brake hose. It apparently require to be longer. I will have two investigate and works this out.

Hmm that sucks.. what did you pay for the brakeset if i can ask?

Brakehose is the easy part, get some nice aftermarket ones which are braided (cheap)
Normally the dust shield is easily swapped by just undoing 2 x M10 bolts , and thats it :D

Ive had so many cars with mega brake upgrades, you can also cut the dustshields you have now with a angle grinder to make room for the bigger caliper, Audi charged quite a few quid for those 2 simple shields.

Best thing is to really source the RS6 brackets.. the Bitdi are useless to work with the rs6 calipers

Bad news that the calipers have no carriers. There is no way your existing carriers will fit those calipers unfortunately.
Also had a quick look at the parts listing and the carriers don't appear to be available as a seperate item.
As far as rear brake shields I would just modify the existing items or remove them. It won't be an issue.

I paid only £800 for 4 callipers pads and only three discs - 1 front is missing. New set are £550 each front disc but u found 2 new ones in a pair original VAG for £600 - that bits easy. The carrier i will track down and the brake shields i will buy from audi direct. It'll take some time to put all the pieces together and prepare for the install etc etc.

I will source carriers plenty off Rs6 C7 breaking out there. They are direct plug and play apart from the hoses and dust shields.

yes fronts are direct plugplay.. rear need minimal grinding off of the bracket, but is very easy...

so the complete swap is 95% plugplay :D

Most of the time people don't want to split carriers and calipers as the calipers are not much use to people on their own.
But you may get lucky. Either way they are not likely to be cheap as anything with RS in the title is subject to the RS tax.

Morning,

Yes your 100 % i was at Audi parts on Saturday. No separate supply - bummer.
Will chase down seller again today and see if he has them lying somewhere if not I've found couple of companies/people who reverse engineer the carriers. Will post update of that process as we travel.
On dust shields they are approx £140 for set of 4 - 2 front 2 rear. Brake hoses £40 each. So not too bad on that front. I can live with that.
Ive decided to send callipers away for professional repainting as they are a bit scraped in places. £400
Will need new pads front and rear £200 front and £80 rear.

It'll be at least 2 months before i go for install due to other commitments. But in that time i will plant and bring all materials together for the install day.

That will be easily seen when installing and then easily done with the anglegrinder ;)

So I've found a pair of RS5 carriers. I have to try and verify if they are the same before committing to buy. Anyone know if they are the same ?

I think you will struggle with the RS5 carriers, since the disk size (therefore the callipers) are larger on the RS6 set up, although they are both Brembo's. RS5 front Brembos are 356x34mm, on the RS6 they are 390x36mm

Its difficult to tell from EKTA if they are the same, since there are no part numbers listed, and the diagrams tend to be generic rather than actual representations.

Thankyou so much. :) If you look closely its clear the carriers are different between the RS5 & RS6 in those pictures . I found a company this morning who are coming back to me for reverse engineered RS6 C7 carriers.

I actually spoke to them this morning and got a good quote. I only need the front callipers painted. The rears need very minor touch up which i can do with a small brush.
One of the callipers i have has had some fairly bad scrapping to the paint presumably this is why the set came with inly 3 discs - i am imaging he other disc was shattered on impact.

Man thanks for the pointer and recommendation.

My set with scraped calliper nearest to you. It also has a snapped missing lower metal brake pipe that brake calliper specialist quoted me for replacing.

I found a supplier for the carriers they will be reversed engineered. Will update as it progresses.

No joy with killer brakes they are sourcing from the same people i have had conversations with. Luckily i have found guy who has direct access to the OEM carriers and is making exact copies of them for me

You could try these guys for calliper carriers. Seems the OEM carriers are manufactured by Brembo.

wheels fitted to the inside of the front callipers ?

Used Audi RS6 from calliper OEM carriers @ £600. These are the only ones available i can find on the net and they just came up on eBay 2 weeks ago. They are rarer than hens teeth and no one inclusion Brembo will sell you them.

Aesthetically i like my copies a lot better and they also cost me less than half the price of the OEM ones.
