yourAudi - Track New Car Order

I concur, after posting yesterday that its been stuck at code 30 for 17 days (which it still is) Audi emailed to say its on a boat.
 
How long do the boats take? I expect the longest leg of the journey (factory excluded) is from UK port to a transporter --> dealer compound. Maybe that is two legs!

To quote top gun, it "must be close..." :D

Despite the tracker still showing "left Ingolstadt", the dealer has just sent me a video of the car in their compound. Still in its "wrapper", but seems to be in one piece. Even got the new 17 plate number. A bit excited now....you'd think I'd be over that sort of thing at my age!

A video - that is pretty swish! I'll be amazed if my dealer does that!
 
I got a video from my dealer too. Only shows the front of the car but I am not complaining.

Pick my S4 up on the 2nd March. It cant come any sooner :)

Well, yesterday I went to view the S4 Avant as it arrived this week. The car is nice but was mildly annoyed with myself that I misread the configurator! I thought I had keyless entry but it turns out I did not have and that is part of the Advance Key and boot thing.

We pick the car up next friday, so pictures will follow but we are waiting for the Audi A1 to arrive first. Next week we will hopefully collect, if it gets delivered a new Audi A1, 1.4 tfsi black edition 5 door and the S4 avant which has already arrived.

So this morning my S4 Avant is now in the paint shop.. any ideas how long from paint shop to at the dealers.. my sales man is going on holiday on the 7th April for two weeks and I'm praying it's here before he goes away!!

I am picking both cars up today a new A1 and S4, when the S4 was being built the status was in prep one day then straight into QA control, this is not down to them being super quick at building but more like lag in the system.

I was tracking the A1 at the same time and its progression was steady, basically every day in moved to the next part of the process. So it took 1 day for paint on our tracker.

From the time they stated in left the factory to it arriving in the UK was just under 2 weeks, then from the port to the dealer was about 3 days.

The same applied to both cars regarding timescales.

Today my S4 has gone into Assembly. I hope tomorrow it goes to QC and the next week it will be on a boat!

S4 shipping to Sheerness today after 30 days at port of Emden. Anyone else had problems with port delays?
 
My car went status 39 as of last night!

Bring on my S4 before the tax increase. :yahoo:

I haven't posted here for years. Used to have an A4 sline 2.0TDI 170 back in 2007. Vowed never again as the ride was so poor. Anyway, 10 years on and I have ordered an A4 Allroad Sport 3.0TDI 218. Original order placed 12.1.2017 and still at status 00 on the tracker. I am hoping for May/June delivery. I would expect to see some progress fairly soon on the tracker.

I ordered on 07.01.17, it took a week to show my order on the tracker, initially the build week jumped around a bit
but then nothing until last week when it moved to preparation ( 2 weeks before the build date 03.04.16 BW14)

I though the tracker would be a great idea, but found it best not to look as I found it even more frustrating, excepting it to move...like watching paint dry.

Nice order, do you have a provisional build week a yet?
 
My S4 has finally arrived at the dealers and thankfully just in time to beat the VED changes.

I've also ordered the same car! I originally placed my order on 18/11/16 and was quoted a 14-16 week delivery date. Fast forward a few months and my unconfirmed build date is 08/05/2017. Pretty ridiculous, if you ask me. My Golf R was also a 6 month wait, which I slightly understood due to demand & the slightly rarer nature of the car. I'm currently in talks to make sure Audi cover the cost of the increased VED - as their delivery estimate is so far off the original quote - I should have had my car in February.

Noticed on the tracker today that my order had been cancelled. Quick email to the dealer and I had been moved to a different order number with the same order date. A cancellation apparently. This one is at status 10 so allocated/accepted by the factory. Looking at the JSON on the tracker I can see that it went to status 10 on 1st March. Provisional BW is 23 which is 5th June.

Good choice! Assuming your BW doesn't change then that will be 7 months. Current car GTD was 4 months. Nothing will top the 9 months I waited for a Tiguan. Good luck with the negotiations.

Aye, cheers! First Audi for me (previous cars being BMWs and the Golf), i'm quite looking forward to the change. I actually had an update from Audi today - they're honouring my deal and paying the increased VED charges and my build date has now moved to an unconfirmed April 10th date. w00t!

A 9 month wait for a Tiguan is ridiculous - did they offer a goodwill gesture for the hassle?!

Good news on the VED and build date. Hoping mine will come forward too.

VW gave me a Passat for the last four months of the wait. Was pretty pleased with that, free motoring!!

Does your order state the model year? I am pretty sure VAG change the MY in mid May. I doubt there are many if any changes on MY17 cars as the Allroad is still quite new.

So I've gone from a May 8th build date to April 10th.. but if I check the tracker it's now showing this!

Good news. My build date is jumping around. Started 5/6 then 19/6 and now 12/6.
 
I'm also in the 'waiting' club now! How long is the normal wait between hitting the detonate button to order and the order number appearing in yourAudi?

We ordered 31/3 and got an order number on 6/4 - was originally told June delivery, however build week has been pushed back by 3-4 weeks. When putting order # & post code on yourAudi, it's not returning anything - anyone got an idea of roughly when is reasonable to expect it to appear in the tracker?

I ordered 16/3 and just got a build date confirmed on 7/4. Build week 22, tracker says 29th May to start construction. Got my order number on 28/3 and it was on the tracker then.

Thanks Jim - so looks like I'm about 2 weeks after you then if all goes to plan. Very aware that it doesn't work in a linear way like that though, so who knows when it will turn up. What have you got coming?

Try filling in all your personal details under where it says Hi <your name> top right corner. Also when you add the order number and postcode, check the "My company placed the order" button and enter the name of your dealer, Synter/Lookers/Motorline etc. This worked for me.

Thanks Phil - hasn't worked unfortunately; will wait and see this week and give the dealer a bell next week if nothing changes.

Post code wise, I had to place the postcode of the Dealership that ordered my car for it to work.
 
After the comments in this thread about the tracker not working, slow to upload the order etc, I can happily say that my order placed on 7 April has this morning appeared on the tracker and I am surprised and elated at the information it shows. I walked out of the dealers with a BW 24 estimate (12 June), the tracker is showing that my S4 Avant is expected to begin construction on 8th May, BW 19!! Now the anxious wait hoping it does not slip.

Well done, sounds like you've gotten a sweet deal there, that'll be 10 weeks from order to delivery if the slot is kept, right?

I'm still not getting anything on yourAudi so will drop the dealer a line today and ask.
 
It would appear the dealer had a "stock" order in the pipeline which was "amendable" and this brought the build forward. I hope it keeps to the earlier build, my SQ5 was held up at just about every stage during it's build and shipment slipping back about 6 weeks in total

Build week now brought forward to 8th May (BW 19) :grinning:
