Driving across Europe,is MMI navigation good enough?

I use a Tomtom Go Live satnav at present, with map updates it is excellent at getting me around on the continent. I am looking to get an A6 (2016) and wondered if the MMI Nav was as good.

Anybody driven across Europe with the Audi satnav?

Not in an A6 but last summer we drove from the UK / France / Spain / Italy and back in our 2016 B9 A4 and the standard MMI sat nav never missed a beat all journey (almost 4k miles) located some very obscure places and was even helpful at re-routing us about 4 times on our return around Paris in the middle of rush hour and several accidents, tunnel closures too.
