Hi recently purchased a 2.0 tfsi Quattro Avant and an absolutely loving it. It does feel slightly underpowered compared to my last car Volvo t5 remapped which is understandable but the grip of the Quattro is mind blowing.
Is it worth remapping a car with a 120k on it? Does have FSH and drives brilliantly with no faults.
If so what is the best tune? Am in Glasgow and A4 Audi do Celtic tune.
Thanks

I'd have no issue remapping my car at 120k if it was in good condition.

I'll be remapping my 94k TFSI soon, and probably tuning it further.

Some of the guys in the states have cars with serious mileages tuned up.

make sure your clutch is in very good shape before you do go with a map, especially if you have a Quattro, otherwise it will be well and truly ******.
also DV is a point to check for optimum performance.

Cheers for replies, clutch seems ok not to high and not slipping.
Forgive my ignorance but DV?
THANKS

It sensible to check the DV (diverter valve)and PCV (positive crankcase ventilation valve) before getting the car mapped. Either could have failed and be ******* away your precious boost!

Both are cheap and easy to get at. Some people do them before mapping regardless. As they can easily fail shortly after due to the increase in boost pressure.

I've also done plugs, coil packs, oil, and fuel filter, just to make sure everything is in good order.

R-Tech's pages on remaps are a good resource: http://r-techperformance.co.uk/2-0-tfsi-tuning/

Cars going into the garage Tuesday, as I've discovered a slight blow in the exhaust. (So far been quoted £2000 for Audi dealer exhaust as no aftermarket except for stainless. Which anything i may want a remap may have to be on my priories first.)
Point of story is getting a new DV and PCV.
Question, should i be feeling boost? Last car was quite different and due to the nature of the engine i know its not did to react that way?
Thanks and apologies for 1000 words

with a decent Dv you should feel the boost, if you don't get much woosh then you're down on boost

It's a steady acceleration I'm getting. It's 120k and have no idea if or when they've been done and for the small cost it's worth it. Wouldn't have known except from here.
Thanks all

Saw that prior to purchase but he just given it a proper read. Worth it.
Thanks for the heads up.

No worries, definitely worth doing both if you don't know when they were last done.

To me, it seems like Audi tried to almost hide the turbo with the stock TFSI. Compared to other turbo cars I've had, even the 1.8T VAG motor, it's not very 'boosty' in character. Especially if you're used to a mapped T5! I think they almost wanted a 'big cube NA' feel to it.

There's no, nothing, nothing, nothing, all the boost, mad noises, **** goes blurry, moment like something Japanese. It's all very civilised, though I'm told a map really wakes it up.

Just to help
I remapped my 330d at 30k, it was mapped higher than most tuners allow
It tripped 263K yesterday

Get the car running 100% perfectly stock before doing any modding.
