A3/S3 Photos Thread

Thought it was about time to get some photos up of my build, starting to take shape with my newly podwered Audi A4 DTM wheels.

Fancied wrapping my wing mirrors carbon but not confident to do it. Maybe will get them dipped instead. Car is silver and wheels a dark grey so think it will suit as windows are slightly tinted also. Did you do it mate or someone for you, cost of so?

Not bad price I suppose when you take into consideration it prob took a few hours.

My 2005 Audi A3 8p in dolphin grey with 18'' RS4 reps.
Greets from Belgium!

Reviving an OLD *** thread here but wow, these look great! Same model as mine as well, different colour but this picture has pretty much swung me from RS6 alloys to RS4 ones! How do you find the quality of these replicas?

Detailed and protected ready for the summer

Did a few small jobs to my one recently, new drilled discs, changed out the sidelight bulbs and the last one was to get the fog light surrounds meshed. Lot of swearing and chopping to suit).
Quite happy for now, but the wheels will definitely be treated to some powder coating before the summer.

That's beautiful! How did you manage to keep it so shiny and polished? Would love to know!

Exactly how I want my alloys done.

Did you get then refurbed or are they the new ones?

Lovely car mate

Thanks. Yours looks very nice.

Mine are OEM black. As soon as I got mine I wanted black rotas so I brought some off a TTS.

Thanks very much, it's easier to keep than you might think.
Every Saturday, the car gets a snow foam, (Bilt Hamber at the moment), rinse under low pressure, then a shampoo, (cheap one from Tesco, has carnuba wax though), then another low pressure rinse. Dried off with a Chemical Guys micro fibre and lastly, a very quick buff up with Meguiars Quick Detail Spray.
1 hour from start to finish. (Even if it's raining).

Wow, that's dedication. Being a Londoner staying in a flat this is stuff of dreams (maybe I stretched it a bit) for me. Once again, nicely done!

New to the world of German cars, not the best pic, asked my daughter to take the car for a wash, and she took this.

Hi all new 8P owner here

2012 Sportback black edition 2.0 tdi

just some recent snaps i took after fitting those aftermarket roof rails

I think they look pretty good for a non OEM item (they just adhere to the roof and are purely cosmetic)

That's the one!!!
Be careful when you open it...it's a bit sensitive when twisted-bent along the center line and might make small cracks especially to the point where the exhaust tail pipes are.
It can be painted and might need a little triming to fit perfectly...BUT it looks great!! Very close to OEM look...

How much trimming does it need? Anything doable at home? What did you trim to fit yours?
Is the surface smooth? Should it be sanded and/or primed before painting? What paint did you use?
