Hello guys,
I've got an Audi A3 S-line 2.0L TDI the other day i was driving along at a steady speed and limp mode kicked in, i stopped turned the engine off and started off again and it was fine, further down the road it happened again and the engine management light stuck on, plugged it in and the code P0088 showed up 'High pressure in fuel rail system' i thought it would clear so i tried giving it a blast out... didn't work.
I woke up the next day went out and started it up and it was mis-firing changed the fuel filter and put a diesel cleaner in 'Redex' worked fine but the limp mode did still keep happening.
Limp mode still happens and the code sill appearing, BUT it won't happen if i drive and when i'm up to speed put my clutch down, or if i'm constantly changing gear it doesn't go into limp mode, i took the high pressure fuel switch off and cleaned it all up but still hasn't fixed anything... there weren't any metal bits in the Fuel Filter which i have read to look out for.
