headlight woes

Right all I bought a pair of new headlights of ebay for my 2003 S3 Quattro had ago at fitting them today but it looks like my s3 has factory fitted xenon unit and the new headlights are for halogen, is there anyway around this?

Personally I'd Return them and get a pair of xenon of @t8ups he can do the black out ones and the light they put out is a massive improvement over the standard xenons

Or you an split yours and swap over the black parts and lenses to your current lights

I have read about splitting lens etc and it sounds a right ballache I just want a simple straight fresh look swap over to be honest. Had a look at t8ups posts and it looks like be talking about £400 for pair I know that's cheap compared to a brand new original headlight but bit different to the german ones I bought of ebay which were around £130 shipped lol
 
£130 for halogens tho. They are also better light output than originals

Had another bit of a read and it appears t8ups may be able to supply another hid ballest unit that I can swap over to the new halogen units I bought and this aftermarket hid ballest uses same connectors as original?
anyone shed some light? lol
 
You will also need a set of the brackets he has made to hold the hid in place pm him he should sort you out. Probably easier to send them your lights and he does it. You will also have to swap over your auto adjusters from your existing lights
