Damn! Well that kind of screws my chances of March registration I guess!! Lucky for those going to Sheerness, I thought Isar would be headed back to Grimsby.

So unless another ship I don't know about joins in, my last hope is the Weser Highway which will be back in Emden early hours 25th I think.

I was thinking the same thing! Why have they taken isar off the Grimsby route. Audi shipping is very disorganised and slow. Would have been quicker to have just picked it up from the factory and drive it back to the UK.

Yeah I'm pretty disappointed with that. City of Oslo going to Sheerness can take up to 2000 cars, all the others are 750. I assumed that would be why it was only City of Oslo doing that route but maybe there is an insane amount of cars for the south that were ordered and are trying to push through in March.

To everyone wanting to know about the registration at status 40, my dealer said he hasn't heard anything about it, neither have admin when he asked them but he will confirm with the new car sales manager to see if there is any truth in it. Anyone else asked their dealer and heard something back?
 
I'm aboard City of Paris, due to dock at Tyne this afternoon.

My last update from CS was still at Emden on Tuesday. I was hoping this was on City of Oslo that morning. Yesterday Evening I had paperwork from my dealer with my registration details and number plate. Maybe they are doing this when it gets to port and not to dealership. Registration date on the paperwork also said 31st March. Maybe I won't be able to collect until then but at least I seem to have beat April :yahoo:

Could be the case. My dealer hasn't got back to me yet I did chase him and they say they are still looking into it. I guess it maybe an option provided by some dealers.

Day 14 at Emden, still stuck there think and I don't think there are any boats going to Grimsby today. Weser Highway is due back midnight so hopefully I should be going on that tomorrow. Will speak to Audi again later!!! So difficult waiting, driving me crazy first thing I do as soon as I wake up is check my status!!!

That's good that all the paper work is sorted and registered, we are still waiting at port for our A1, it arrived there on the 16th.

My dealer has suggested doing the same - says he's going to send me out all documents dated 31st. Hope this means we ARE able to beat the VED!

According to CS mine arrived at port on 07/03. So 16 days if it did arrive yesterday. Hopefully yours will be a bit quicker than that.
 
Emden must be heaving with cars at the moment
Mines been on the train for 8 days. Im not expecting mine to be in the uk till may

according to the tracker it is still at Emden so we shall see, 8days at port and left the factory on the 11th.
 
Dealer phoned this morning bd moved from september to august :sign wow:

Anyone with a car that came to Bristol - which port did it come into the UK via? CS told me Grimsby but I'm struggling to believe that be true over coming in through Sheerness. That's a logistical nightmare for the drivers.
 
Just got an email from my dealer saying my A3 just got on a ship to Sheerness, probably isar highway, was an 11 day wait at Emden.

Just seen that Isar has left, no tracker change for me, city of Oslo is hopefully next

Would you say it's worth me calling my dealer and mentioning that you are being sent predated registration forms?

Can you clarify exactly what you've been sent so I don't sound like I'm making it up hah :D

Congrats. I am build Week 10 also. In Emden for 8 days now. Checking with CS.

I was sent my Audi finance forms , included Reg number, VIN, Reg date
 
My car is on a ship but has not left Emden yet. So its on the city of Oslo.

Checked with CS and still not allocated a ship. :| annoying seeing other BW10s around you move and you're sat still.

I use Facebook chat to talk to CS. Told me car is on a ship but has not left Emden yet. I know its heading to Sheerness so the City of Oslo is the only ship in Emden.

I've just double checked with my admin team and this isn't possible, the car has to be physically onsite or the internal Audi system for taxing cars will not allow it until status 70 which is 'At dealer'.

Thats the response I got from my dealer!

I suppose. Good thing about this is you just post your question on go about your business. CS will answer usually within the hour.

Will be interesting to know if you car is at the dealers or not, as I don't really trust Bedford Audi too much! :)
 
Just an update, my dealer is pretty much saying the same thing in relation to registering the car before the tax increase. The paperwork for the new car will be set up for the day that we collect the car as this needs to match the registration date!.

The dispensation is probably a romour, or some dealers are offering it who knows.

BW13 here for an S3 Saloon BE, tracker is saying in quality control already!
Went to panel shop yesterday and has flown through production, dealer says its left the factory already!

Hopefully won't have the same hold up at the port that others seem to be having!
 
So where are we with BW10's? Mine is stuck at Ebden going no where, but others have been shipped?

The last bit does seem to fly by guys, shame some of you will miss the deadline for pre April delivery but for those who haven't had an S3 before, it'll be worth it.

I wasn't sure what sort of replacement it would be for the R32 but I'm very happy!
