Hey guys, does it matter if you have mag ride when fitting lowering springs, only looking at 15-20mm h&r`s just curious if the car will reconise something different and throw up a light.

Thank you

Mines running Eibach Sportlines with mag ride think it was a 25mm drop front and 20mm rear.

No lights but lots of talk on forums if the mag ride height of fender eyebrow from ground can be adjusted as it appears in VCDS but no one has been successful so far - could be a dealer system adjustment only but not really needed as far as my experience with the car can tell.

@mike price have you tried this yet? Will be in a similar situation with mine having mag-ride.

+1
Not looking to lower yet but the car feels mighty high after running lowered cars for 10 years.
Would be great to know how it does affect the dampers if at all before I take the plunge

Done 22k miles now since lowering 25mm on Eibach Sportlines with mag ride - no issues to report.

And does the mag ride appear to work as normal?
How do you find speed humps and clearance on kerbs when parking etc?
I think I'll just do it anyway tbh using H&R's as they've always been my springs of choice

After searching regarding lowering springs, they appear to be the usual choice. I think I'll go with them myself. Am I correct in believing they will only invalidate suspension warranty?

Correct but then you can't alter the suspension and then expect them to warranty anything connected, so it's fair play really

I've used them before and they did take a while to come, intact I had to nudge them to send them.
I don't think the price is that good too tbh

Do you know of any other distributors?

I'm planning to put H&R Sport springs once my FL S3 saloon gets here. I have Mag ride and from my search I can tell that most of owners are happy with the end results using it with MG.

I have also consulted with local Pfaff Tuning shop which is rated one of the best in Ontario and actually services Lambos, P cars, F Cars etc.. They confirmed that I'm good to go.

I also read some concerns that with H&R Sport and Super Sport springs the rear can become a bit stiff.

There are some on ebay under £200
-25mm.. not sure how this would look with 19" BE alloys.. maybe a little too low?
Don't be silly lol, it'll look great with some spacers on too!

@DJAlix did a lot of work on this. I think for magride to be fully effective it needs to be calibrated to the new ride height. VCDS apparently isn't up to the job. Yet...

Didn't go for the 28810-1?
I don't think there is a definitive answer on which spring is correct tbh apart from 28810 is the later one, however that is now superseded.
The box says with MRC so that's good enough for me
