Cost New Clutch

Hi All,

Think I might have to get the clutch changed on my A5. It has been making a clicking / tapping noise when the clutch is down. Sounds like release bearing?

Any one had to change one on a 3.0 TDI Q? Any idea on cost?

Will it be worth changing DMF whilst it's all off?

Any help would be great.

Still drives good.

Went to the garage and he said he don't know what the noise is and doesn't sound like the bearing. How odd. He quoted 1K for the work.

I'd try another garage then, any vag specialists near you?

He was meant to be one ha. On the way back from the VW garage today to look at a new GTI. I noticed the same sort of noise when in gear but a lot less noticeable. Gear box? Diff? Transfer box?

He has given me a good deal on the Golf but just need to decide what to do.

That is the noise that it is making when the clutch is fully down
