Is there any difference in getting one from say TPS or ATS website, than say awesome gti? ATS is cheaper so was wondering if awesomes was standard or uprated if such a thing

Found the reason why bit dearer at awesome.....

Always buy genuine VAG cam follower.
The parts request works well on here. I have also bought genuine parts from AKS. Also a very smooth transaction.

They are genuine every were ive looked. I was just wondering why ats was cheaper. But i think its just because you have get the o ring sep.

The parts guy seems very busy. Said it him self. March is a busy month for him. Theres a TPS right near my house

If Mikes busy then just make sure that it is the genuine VAG part 06D 109 309 C, that comes with the 3 bolts & O-ring as well.

I got it from tps. Ill double check the code. I made sure i got the o ring and bolts also

I used the same bolts as they are not subjected to a high tightening torque. I even made sure the same bolt went back into the same hole. This was not to save money but if there are even slight differences in thread width and pitch it will cut slightly into the Aluminium casting. The idea is to do everything to prevent the thread from stripping.
Recently, VW stripped the sump plug thread in my Golf 1.8T. That cost them a new sump plus labour.
