I like my music and after having bose in my last a6 had to have it again

One thing I find annoying though which the c6 didn't do is that every time you start the car, the radio comes on, even if muted when the car was turned off

Is there any way of stopping this??

mine has a mind of its own. I quickly mute it and it turns back on if the system is starting up lol

That's actually a bigger annoyance, get in, mute, and then it comes straight back on, might need to get some dead audio tracks on a cd

spoke to Audi - you can turn the MMI off by holding down the volume/power button, however this means no NAV open, and i assume on phone connection (will test later)

I agree - this is utter rubbish. I dont want music to automatically start even when i had it muted previously.

Drive to meeting with mad tunes on. Park up. Mute music. Boss asks for lift to grab a sarny. Jump in the car and start the engine... Mad tunes.... Crap.

Right mmi stays off if you turn it off, phone still works; annoyingly at the end of your call the music comes on for 2/3 seconds before the mmi turns back off!

The only trick I found is to set the source to mobile phone before leaving the car and the phone (Spotify) doesn't start on it's own once you start the engine the next time
