Hi, I have just picked up my 2010 A3 s line with Bose radio, very happy with the sound but would like to add DAB, is this possible with a aftermarket device?

Not the easiest of tasks in the A3, depends how far you want to go with it. Sometimes a simple add on dab tuner fed into the Aux input is the best way. Some people want better integration and you can fit an integrated solution like the AutoDAB or MediaDAB, if you have a USB port (AMI) you could also go down the Dension USB DAB addon route, but all of these need a good antenna to receive the DAB signal.

I fitted a autodab in the last car, easy enough to fit but really clumsy to control, I am sure I have a usb somewhere on this car, did not know one could be added like that, will have a look, cheers

The USB is only available if you have a Navigation system and AMI in the glovebox, Or possibly with a GW5 PRo from Dension which also has a DAB addon, I'm currently using that in my A2 but it flattened the battery.

Damn, don't have sat nav so no usb then?
Probably just take it somewhere and get a pro to do it :)

Pure highway 400 or 600 would get you dab through the aux point they sell them at Halfords although a pricey option they seem to get good reviews

Universal Plug-&-Play Car DAB Radio Adapter with FM Transmitter would be a very easy option.
About £60 on ebay, plug into the cigar lighter (or hardwire it into the fuse box) tune in and away you go.
