Im looking at ditching the recaro leathers out my s3 for some lightweight buckets.

How do you remove the rear seat? The bench looks straight forward but I can't see any brackets etc to remove the actual seat.

In regards to the fronts, if they're removed, will the airbags still work in the steering wheel etc?

Rears - the back of the seat is a quick job, just need to use a screwdriver/similar to release where they catch then slide them out sideways.

Fronts - with the seats removed and the airbag connection sittign open you'll get a "resistance too high" type code and the airbag light will be on. I believe you can code it out, though it's also possible to replace the seats with resistors to remove the light and retain functionality of the system.

No they're leather mate.

Thanks Rainbird, don't fancy driving around with no airbags to be honest lol. On the rears, you say where they catch, is that the silver bits at the bottom the seat kinda sits on? Just wanna make sure I don't break anything lol

easy, remove the front plastic cover and undo the two bolts, the entire frame will tilt and you can undo the connectors, then slide fully back and the wheels can be disengaged from the body and lifted out, heavy mind!!

What buckets are you planning? Harnesses as well?
