Hi All. I've had my S3 from new 5 years ago and this morning the RNSE asked me for a pin entry code. It has never done that before. The battery has not been disconnected or loose as all of my odometer and 2nd odometer readings are all still ok, I.e they have not reset.
So, should I have a code already somewhere?
Audi want £30 to sort it out! I was like WTF!
I own the car so I own the code so give it me! Lol

Could be its lost the canbus connectivity & doesn't know its connected to your car/vin.

Ahh ok NHN. Not something I know about unfortunately. Lol

Mine is in a flap inside the radio manual front cover, credit card sized, perforated so as to remove it and put it in a safe place.
Mine is just a Concert, but I assumed they were all the same.

Unfortunately not fangio. There has never been a flap or credit card bit. I had read that on the t'interweb as well so went looking anyway. Not to worry, it looks like a trip to Audi and £30.

Thanks for those links, can I trust them? Or am I just going to end up paying again anyway? I am more than distrustful if I am honest of those sites

I may try them. I think I may have a power issue to the RNSE as over the last 2 years, it has not been turning on properly and rebooting itself, then it comes on. So I'm thinking maybe this time, it rebooted and just gave me the pin entry screen for whatever reason.
As long as the code works all the time it doesn't matter I suppose. I don't fancy Audi labour rates to trace a radio fault that could takes ages

Just to update the thread and say this site was good to use. Although they normally get Audi codes in around an hour, due to an order mess up mine took around 4 hours as I ended up asking them for it after 2 hours, then they chased it up. They reckon they had asked for 24 Audi codes! LOL and were waiting on them all.
Anyway, I got my code and it worked so I am back in the music now.
Audi customer service, however, have just had a very long email from me in complaint.

Haven't you got the code in your car handbook?

No TomL83, the handbook is just that. It never looked like any code was with it.
