Got the above after installing a second 12v socket piggybacked off the main one.

Part of the process for running the cable to charge my phone meant removing the switch panel with the hazard switch.

Any ideas please? :( about to go for a drive to see if that clears it but not looking like one of the ones that usually clears (they're often stability and hill start related I think?)

Got carista, but my purchased version was on my android which I don't have any more temporarily, and my iPhone isn't seeing my obd dongle :(

Thanks in advance!

Seems airbag related as airbag light stays on. Only thing related to airbag that I did was pop off the screw cap cover on the A pillar trim as I was going to reroute my dashcam cable but never did in the end, didn't even remove the trim piece or even the screw!

Hmmm hoping it's not a trip to the dealers that's needed :(

Need to get the car scanned really. Based on the works you were doing you should not have caught anything but you might have disturbed an Airbag related wire.

Hmm okay thanks!

Worth pulling fuse 33 (airbag) to check it? Safe to do so I assume? I've just disconnected the battery to see if that will reset anything

As you have disco'd the battery I would not bother with the fuse as it would have the same effect, all be it just for the individual system.

See what effect the battery has before going any further.

Perfect thanks! I was thinking fuse more just to check it, rather than to take power out of the system. But to be honest if it is properly seated, especially being the airbag fuse, I'd rather leave it be lol

Will leave the battery for another 10 minutes or so and see

Ah ok. Yeah it is just the message in the title when you start the car. Then you clear that with ok and the airbag light stays on

Still there unfortunately after half an hour with the battery off :(

I would remove the multi plug going to the switch panel and just check that none of the pins are bent.

Checked that. Pins all good

This is very frustrating and strange

Also any tablet that you could try Carista on - think it just needs a fault to be cleared.

Right now I have paid a 1 week carista on my dad's phone.

Think I've solved it...will update with more details shortly!

Thanks all!

Sorry about the lack of info earlier, wanted to get the car back together before it got dark and it started raining...

The reset of all of the above through carista solved it thankfully :D that list was worryingly large though, will have to do some research into the rest of them. Intake valve one and transmission speed sensor one seem a bit concerning.

Cause of the airbag light and warning message seems to be that I turned the ignition on whilst having that switch panel disconnected (which incorporates the passenger airbag warning light).

So it seems to complain about that. So remember if you don't have carista or VCDS or similar...And you remove anything to do with the airbag system (warning lights, switches etc) make sure you leave the car off completely until you've refitted everything!

Wasted 1.5 hours of mine lol but at least it was only £9 and not a trip to the dealers.

Thanks for all your troubleshooting help guys!

Sorry to dig up an old topic,

I had a list of the same erros too using the Carista app.

I disconnected the battery to change the glowplugs, when reconnected the battery seems everything flagged up.

Reset the codes in carista and they came back.

Desided to drive the car and seems most lights went out. Stopped and scanned and cleared the codes and worked fine.

Im having a similar issue. I bought an audi a3 64 reg a week ago and im getting 'safety system' system fault' error and there are no dash lights on... does anyone have a suggestion to what it could be?

Ordered a carista, will get amazon delivery tommorow.
