Hi

My name is Simon and two weeks ago I purchased a 2.0tdi A4 SE.

At the moment all I've done is spray the grill, fitted HID's and LED DRL's. I'm looking into getting a black Honeycomb grill and fog light surrounds to match but ideally want to purchase the with the Audi emblem as my current ones tabs are too brittle to remove. If anyone knows where I can get them that'd be great! :)

Future planning wise I'm looking for a decent exhaust (Likely will choose Cat back), EGR & DPF delete, Alloys at the moment I'm thinking some gloss black rotors. Every car I've owned has been sat on coilovers and I think I'll just be lowering it on springs for now.

Any tips and suggestions would be highly appreciated :)

Thanks

What LED DRLs did you go for? Did you have to drill holes in the lights. I want some for my SE, have 8000k hids so looks naff with standard halogens

I went for LED's, i followed the steps I found on youtube, pretty straight forward there is a grove where you need to cut on the headlights. Just got to make sure you dont cut down too far as there are wires right behind it. I just used black sealant and sealed it back up with the piece i cut out and so far no condensation haha.

Link i followed:

Grill ordered, should be here tomorrow!

Cheers! Will have to have a look. I want the same grill too. Look smart. In the process of trying to decide on wheels too. Then I want to lower it.

No worries mate. Buzzing to fit it, will be getting the fog surrounds next. Yeah I keep changing my mind wheel wise, think I'm going to go for 18's though

19's I think for me. Might go for Bola ZZR, possibly gunmetal, with 8.5j front/9.5j rears. Then lower it on the Eibach Sportline kit.

Fitted the new grill today! Need to sort the number plate fitting out as it started tipping it down.

One thing I did struggle with was finding another place to clip the air temp sensor to.

I'm also stuck with numberplate options. First idea is to clip it at the bottom of the grill, the second is to get a vinyl numberplate and stick it to the bumper like the image below.

I think they look great without the number plate on, in the window like yours. Ran mine there for about 6 months when I had it painted, till MOT was due.
That a genuine RS4 grill? Or an eBay special?

Yeah I agree but I feel I'd get pulled too much and heard people having issues in petrol stations and carparks with them in the window.

It's a fleabay special haha

I did too, but it was fine. No1 batted an eye to it. Car park couldn't pick up Reg, just said unknown but barrier still opened.
I need to get one I think, and the fog surrounds to match.

I have a set of these - original ones off of my black edition A4 for £20

So today I managed to spray the slam panel black, looks much better. Next mod is a straight through cat back with no back box

Looks good. Have you considered doing the rings in black too?

+ 1 for the chrome rings, i.m.o. on a black or dark grey car it just lifts it a little, I also got the honeycomb fog light surrounds with the chrome detail on to match.

Yeah been looking at the chrome detail ones but still not 100% sure if they're my cup of tea as I'm planning on dechroming the bits around the window. So keeping chrome minimal with just front & rear badge and tail pipe chrome

So had a slight issue at the garage. First off the tailpipe I ordered never arrived so at the moment it's just a pipe and secondly they wasn't aware of the ECU being locked so we're unable to do the DPF & EGR delete. Tailpipe should hopefully be fitted tomorrow and the deletes will be done Tuesday

You have to cut the bumper when you fitted grill? Bar behind the number plate
