Anyone fitted a single exit exhaust?

Hi all,

Just looking at exhausts for the TFSi project car, as standard the car comes with twin exits (as far as I know), I will be swapping the exhaust out (initially a cat back) to something else to help with turbo spool etc.

I will be looking for a 3" catback system, guessing non resonated, but a single exit rather than a twin exit - this is to reduce the overall weight of the exhaust and clean up the exhaust flow.

Just wondering if there were any off the shelf cat backs out there for a single exit or if its easier to go custom - post up any photos if you do, I think the TDi powered B7s are single exit?

Plus you know it'll fit so no faffing about.

Going turbo back will be better for performance but if you don't have a friendly MOT tester just go for a straight pipe from the cat all the way back.

Probably cost around £300-£500 including labour.

It'll induce many smiles per gallon

Thanks for that, I will be getting a turbo back system at some point, the project is a big turbo build so will need a 3" V band downpipe and sports cat - plan is to sort out a cat back system now and then when I upgrade the turbo I will then need to sort the downpipe.

I guess I could use the rear valance on the TDi with the single exhaust to delete the twin exit the bumper would have as standard?
