yourAudi - Track New Car Order

The dealer must be getting fed up of my by now pestering about a collection day Too excited now

Same, Audi online chat told me it was on its way to the port Thursday and my dealer phoned me today to say it's there waiting for a ship, tracker still says QC :tearsofjoy:
Audi CS just confirmed mine is waiting for a boat this morning, but tracker shows QC. Getting real now!

We might be waiting for the same boat.. Grimsby bound? :)

I think you guys should stop looking at the Audi Tracker as it is clearly not giving up to date information.

Was just confirming what has previously been said, the tracker is tosh.

Tracker says in QC but had this from Audi live chat

"Your vehicle has now at Status 30, which is in transit from Factory to the Port of Exit. Once at the Port, vehicles can wait up to 14 days to be loaded onto a boat for the UK. If the ship arrives during the working week, vehicles take on average 24 hours to be unloaded. Your car can then wait for up to one week to be assigned to a transporter for delivery to the Audi Centre. Once the vehicle is on the transporter the timescale for delivery to the Audi Centre is three to five working days."

They must love all these enquires about order tracker not working

Not sure what port mine will be coming in to tbh, looking at the map Sheerness is probably closer to where I am than Grimsby, but doesn't necessarily mean it'll be going there I don't suppose.

I bet they just read all their reply's from a script they've been given.

"its is in Q.C."
"It can take 10 days to pass through Q.C."
"Q.C. can take 2-3 weeks"
etc etc
Anything to cover up that they have no idea where any given order is once past Q.C.
Seeing that after Q.C. it goes to transportation, I wonder if it's this part of the tracking process that is going wrong.
It actually clears Q.C....... and then drops into a black hole. Who knows but I bet the truth is never revealed.

Yeh definitely, I'll let you know if anything changes. Neither of us getting pano roof so bodywork should be the same. With my general luck in life though, I think you're going to wish you ordered something different :sob:

@Steelster and @Sam Millar - tracker has just ticked over to Prep, so yours may have too!

Good stuff!! Just checked and mine has been switched over too! Either the tracker is seriously behind and/or just been "fixed", or our builds are well behind expected date!

I'd read that prep is normally just 1 week before production - do you know different?

I got sent an "online order tracking guide" through the post, this is what it says.....

Status code 20 - Prep
Status code 20 +10 days - Panel shop, on the thursday prior to confirmed build week we begin the process so that the car will complete build and begin transit in the correct week
Status code 20 +11 days - Paint shop, on the friday before the confirmed build week we move to the next stage of build
Status code 20 +12 days - Assembly, on the saturday prior to build week we move to the third part of the build
Status code 20 +14 days - QC, on the monday of the build week given we will move to QC and this will remain until status 30.

Maybe I took this too literally, but I thought this meant it should go into Prep (status 20) 2 weeks before 6th March? I might be wrong, I usually am ;)

Great piece of information, thank you. We are new to all this new car buying business.

Hmm... I'd deduce the same as you from that. So 'Build Week' is actually 'QC Week'?! Audi are weirdos.

Now visible :yum: Tho I reckon delivery is probably late June early July?

Fingers crossed for a march delivery.

Definitely - although for me it doesn't make much difference as it's a company car so pay BIK tax and company maintain and tax it

Yep, those dates confirm what I was sent in this guide. Went into panel shop thursday, paint friday etc.

If we can get anywhere near a similar turnaround from start of production to delivery to dealer I'll be over the moon!!

This annoys me. It seems Audi pick and choose who they want to send fancy documents to. I've heard people getting new fancy booklets through saying thanks for your order etc and you got a tracking guide and i've had, nothing.

Like other guys on this thread my order is now showing on my Audi so I don't have to use live chat every ten minutes lol! Although it says 5th June build date so I probably will be asking them...

Mine is now showing status 30 (left factory) with a BW8 February 20th.

Dealer said it left the factory Tuesday last week, so hoping it will be assigned a ship in the next day or two.
Salesman reckons Wednesday (tomorrow) when I spoke to him yesterday.

me too, nothing on my A3 and nothing so far on the A1 we have on order

You left your order number in the picture bud

Can't do anything with it without having a postcode or answering some other security questions.

If what you gents are saying is true RE moving to panel shop the week before build date then mine might move again tonight as build week is due to commence 6th March.

We should be in panel shop thursday, so if the tracker is back up and running, I'd expect to see us updated on saturday maybe?

Wonder if Aegean Highway is another, it's been sitting in Emden for a couple of days. Hoping mine will be on a ship in the next few days.

The indications are that it is going to Singapore I think the ships for England dock on the eastern side

Oh, god knows then! I have no idea what I'm looking at on marine traffic bar a load of ships!

If you want to know where the ships are going from Emden go to their 30-day trial of the Pro version of Marine Traffic. You can use it for 30-days free and it gives you much more information. I used it when my A3 was at Emden to show me which ships were bound for Grimsby.

How would I know which port mine is going to?
