I have a 1999 1.8t quattro with a bit of gearbox slop, i have a poly snub mount and v6 engine mounts and was wondering if the 2.8 or s4 mounts are the same or firmer and if they fit the 1.8t?

the 2.5TDI mounts are stiffer, but only fits one side on the 1.8T, unless you use a V6 gearbox mount and V6 subframe.
Both my B5's are running V6 subframes and 2.5TDI mounts.

A new 1.8t mount for the other side will probably make a big difference too if you havent replaced it.
