Just have to somehow make they happen!!!
does this bit of kit support navigation?...
<tuffty/>
Is the deal broken without it
I've contacted the Russians with this question. Will report back.
So far - no. But the firmware can be flashed so I guess they can develop it. Is the deal broken without it

The only things missing here are oil pressure and AFR
Unless there's a MB for AFR then you can just choose it in the diagnostics options
Yeah most likely. Since it goes through the years in the manual.is this also able to show the selected gear for auto models like its displayed on the red fis
Can you not use external sensors to display other information like you can with FIS control?
I've messaged the Russian about buying a couple but I think he's been especially busy since you've posted this

That would be good!!! Did you ask him ?? I asked about the navigation thing...
Yeah he had not been inundated with an order of 20 from the USA. I have an order of 15 to ask him about. LOL
AFR is block 032... request and actual... (http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/m_blocks/)
That is one thing the FIS does well though... you can add external sensors like AFR, oil pressure, oil temp, EGT etc and display it in the DIS..

Wow great news!!
Does this work with the pre face-lift (apy) and with the fis controller??
not explicit confirmation but... I believe there are several variants... some have two plugs in back, some three... there are also variances in manufacturer I believe.. VDO being the main one but there are others IIRC..Can anyone clarify the clusters only are cosmetically different? Because that's all I can see is the difference... the dials faces.
"
only oem navi on a6c5 at this moment/ now under tests
"
I think it will - I was able to swap a facelift cluster into a pre facelift car. They both have the same set of plugs and everything worked fine. So I don't see why not.

think its only going to work with pre facelift canbus clusters so its those that start with 8l0 920 the 8l0 919 non can clusters (like mine ) wont work from what i can decipher from the russian site. can clusters have the grey connector at the back, non can has the 20 pin red connector instead
Ian you can add this to your guide (for those with questions if the colour fis will work on their clusters) (not hijacking your thread lol)
Pre Facelift Non canbus Cluster begins with 8LO 919 (has analog clock) WONT work with Colour Fis (there is some rare anomaly 920 pre facelift clusters with analog clocks but they wont wont as they dont have the grey connector even though they might have a can engine signal on the green connector, Immo 2)

Pre facelift canbus Cluster starts with 8LO 920 (Digital clock) (essentially a facelift clock that they fitted in the last of the Pre facelift models), after production/manufacturing was stopped on the older clocks (Can Clocks will have the door open signals on the fis, Immo 2/3) will work with colour FIS

Facelift Canbus Clocks (same as pre facelift, just different foils with new S3 logo and some internal circuitry revisions, also Immo 3) will work with colour Fis

Non Canbus Back (20 pin Red connector)

Canbus Back (Grey Connector) think its 32 pin if i remember correctly

Nogz started making funny noises.... so of course... i need to investigate...

Damn thats motivation i wish i was able to attack my car on such a level.
First time i've done this stuff so wish me luck! hahaha
...hrmmm.....
It seems sawdust?!
hahaha it is confusing the hell out of everyeone
maybe the guid needs to include how to purchase too
hahaha
yes there are at least 12 people who want this mod in Oz .... christ!!!
so what you actually get is
- motherboard
- screen
- wires
- more wires
- tweeter
- screen protectors
that's it
it's a DIY process. or you can send your cluster to russia.... but that's no fun
Any idea on cost of fitting by you or the company I'm very interested in getting this
It's like grease - solidified. It's in all sorts of places in the engine bay! needs a clean...
Clamp has come loose = MORE cleaning

Gotta leave maybe 6 hours a weekend to work on the engine since there's study and work to do. Hoping it'll be a slow but steady progression to the final setup!!!
Of course! Hahahadid you manage this all with a 13mm spanner and long nosed pliers?
Use google chrome as your browser so you even have half a fighting chance of understanding what is going on in the website. You need to make an account on the forum. Ordering details are on the multimfa or colormfa pages. Basically through PM. Just click around. You will find it.I can't even figure out how to email them let alone ask how much to instit ha
LOLAnd to think you were questioning your ability to change your oil pump you charlatan!
You're way above that level of competence looking at what you've done ripping out the engine mate
I think you can send your cluster to russia for them to do it but not sure what logistical costs there will be.
Same for me. I could do it but it would cost a bit to get it to me and back swiftly. Labour would be the biggest part... it's not a quick job like replacing the OEM screen. Of course. If you want it done. Just PM me and we can sort something out if there's no one on your side of the pond that is game enough.
