So I was driving along I put my foot down and then...... bang!!

Next thing I loose power and if I put my foot on the accelerate then the car starts jerking and shaking.

I managed to jerk my way back home as I wasn't too far but I haven't had a chance to take a closer look.

I'm guessing it's a turbo related problem but what could it be specifically? Anyone had similar problems?

My car: 2005 A3 2.0 tdi BKD with 110k on the clock.

probably a misfire, check your coilpacks and spark plugs, also see if there are any around them, they could fail because theres an oil leak and its getting on their way.

Good luck checking those on a TDI.

I'd guess boost pipe as well. You got access to vcds?

My money is on a intercooler pipe that's come adrift too.
If you really need to drive the car in the meantime if you disconnect the MAF sensor it will be driveable but S-L-O-W.
I had an intercooler pipe pop apart when I was 40 miles away from home at work with no hope of fixing it where I was.
With MAF disconnected I was able to get home (no shuddering or shaking) but the downside was top speed of about 60mph, or less if there was an incline, lol.
