3 Months Wait.. :-O

So... After all the years of being madly in love with them, I'm finally getting rid of my 2015 A3, and getting a 2017 S3 .. Only problem is, I've been told it will be about 3 months before it arrives!

For someone who's so impatient, I normally end up paying for next day delivery... 3 months is a whole load of sleepless nights :D

Although - it does mean I get to keep tweaking the spec, which is nice!

Maybe see you all at next years AITP :D

Welcome along, if it makes you feel any better I'm going to have had about a 4 month wait from order to delivery when it arrives.

Never bought a brand new car before so this is my first experience and I'm not enjoying the wait haha

This is my second one now... I don't think I was half as excited with the last one then what I am with this! But 4 months!!??? That's harsh!

Yep, ordered 16/11. That's good for what some of the guys ordering 3 doors are being quoted!

What spec you gone with?

I ordered 28 October and car is sat at dealer for March delivery. Strangley I'm not over excited, as I still love my 428i, but its on a cheap lease and has to go back . Here's hoping the S3 will be fun and importantly reliable!

It all comes round faster than you think. Doesn't feel very long ago that I was in the dealer (3rd November or something) not even knowing I was going to order a new car but just test driving a 184, and now I collect on Wednesday...
 
Av been waiting as it stands just... Now
10 months, and it'll be More than likely 18 months in total by the time l get my hands on the new RS3 so 3 months is nothing just the average time to wait for a Audi, June /July nice time of year to get a new car, by the way it'll fly in

I waited 7 months & 15 days for my one.

It positively flew by though, in only 32.5 weeks, or 228 days, or 5472 hours, or 328320 minutes...Not that I was counting though.

I placed an order for an S3 saloon on Monday. I have a provisional build week of 23 or June 5th - that's 4 months if we are generous and assume we are in March...

So it would seem! I guess its a lot to ask for next day delivery on a car they have to build :D

I went with the 5 door in the end, I spend too long carrying passengers to have to get in and out all the time :)

My Audi code is ATJJ31BO - Tho I've tweaked it slightly since then, added the virtual cockpit and the matrix LED lights :D

Really? Wow .. I can't wait to get in mine.. Tho I moved from an 8P A3 (in avatar) to a 2015 A3 Sline.. An I cheaped out on the spec.. Regretted it so much - I'd go as far to say I've never loved the car.. So I'm out at the first opportunity!

Thanks Sandra, I've always enjoyed hanging around on Audi-Sport .. Like I say, I think the last A3 ruined it a little for me.. But I am back, and hoping to get out to some shows/events now.

HAHA! As soon as I have my delivery date, I am sure I will be counting just the same.. I placed the order last sunday, and now the sales man has gone on holiday! So not heard anything yet!

I couldn't decide at first between 3 or 5 door but the more 5 doors I saw the more I thought they were the nice version!

Spec looks decent mate especially with the added VC and Matrix LED's. This is my code if you wanna have a look :grinning: AX5HCQ0T
 
I'm a very privileged that there seems to be very few S3's on the road around here (that I've seen anyway). But after my very first every car which was a 3 door fiesta, I've always preferred the convenience of a 5 door. Plus you don't have those heart in your mouth moments when you passenger throws open your huge 3 door door in the parking space :grimacing:

I thought the 2 month wait for my new Golf R last year was bad... but I was only sitting around for a month with nothing happening the rest of the time it was being built and shipped. This is much much worse.

I ordered a 5 door last weekend and I've been given build week 15 with a delivery of mid to end of may. So 3 months sounds about right at the moment, unless you want a 3 door that is.

Even after build week 15 you'll be looking at another month to 5 weeks after build date until delivery
 
Rung dealer yesterday about 8 month wait for my 3 door going to see if 5 door will come sooner getting back to me Monday
