I am guessing it will be a 7 out of 10 split towards the diesel...........
 
I've just tipped it over for derv....
 
Bit cheeky to post now but my SB 2.0T is being delivered on the 8th January. So I guess that will make me in the near future a petrol A3 owner.
 
Petrol is the only option for us in the United States. I still would have gone with petrol even if diesel were an option.

I've had my 3.2 for a few weeks now, I'm starting to miss the economy of my old Golf TDI!!!

yep fun starts at 5000 and ends at 6000 lol - disel - fu starts at 1500 and ends at 4000 you work it out!
 
wow this has really shocked me, i would have though there was much much more diesel owners

go go you petrols (in a footy hooligan manner) ...............

There are! The results of this poll are academic as the fact is Audi sell far far more diesel A3s than petrols.

oh don't get me wrong i know that Audi sells more diesels than petrols but its interesting to see more petrol owners on here than diesel owners............well so far that is.
 
The demographic on a forum such as this will obviously be skewed very much in favour of the petrol as it's generally "enthusiasts" who frequent places like this and most enthusiasts are also petrol-heads :)
 
Come on this was a poll of what engines are a3's have, not a slangin match for Petrol vs Diesel! :asskicking:

I'm with you Wilko,

any poll will pretty much always end up as one side against another, I bet if we asked which was the better diesel 1.9 or 2.0 both sides would have an opinion, same for FSI owners T vs NA or us 3.2 gluttons... god help us when its SB vs 3DR!!!

oh and who gives up at 6K guys, my 3.2 will howl round to 7, oops what might I have started now,

there's no right or wrong answer here people,;)

That would be about 110mph in 4th but that's on a non A3 TDi. :busted_cop:
 
Diesel engine up front in my car too. I think diesel/petrol sales in Europe are approaching (if not already) 50/50, but this poll is differing for now!
 
It's closer than I would have expected as petrol is still considered the default choice for performance cars.
 
Today, I'm driving a 1.9TDI PD130 Ibiza. Tomorrow, it'll be a 2.0TDi 140 A3. Can that be two votes for diesel please :icon_thumright: :laugh:
 
Anyone from the petrol class read the papers today as to Poll rigging being as it's now 60/40 in their favour ......................... only kidding
 
Yes read about oil going up to $67 a barrel. What did you read?
 
All this poll is proving is that most Audi enthusiasts choose HP over economy - no big surprise :)


Don't regret buying my SLine 2.0T at all. Sure, 280 miles out of a tank is not good, but its a FUN 280 miles :racer:
