Multitronic gearbox service - worth doing?

I have the 8 speed Multitronic on my 2013 A6 and Audi suggest a 38k service but mines now on 70k and despite a full Audi history it's not been done.

But I know these newer boxes are very different from the older weaker ones so is it worth the £199 outlay?

Oil breaks down over time therefore giving less protection to the mechanical bits

£199 for an oil change or several thousand £££'s for a new gearbox

You decide ;)

If you ever want to sell the car later then I would get the gearbox serviced ASAP, most people that know their Audi's would not touch a multitronic or stronic without the gearbox being service as per the Audi service scheduled.

Agreed fellas.

£199 from Audi isn't bad either is it? My local specialist wanted £180 and that's without a loan car.
