My B8 build plans ..??..

It will flex to the shape of the bonnet without issue,it has 5 bolts underneath to hold it down

It's not for me XP, may look better further back on the bonnet though.

Towards the windscreen more ?
I was thinking of going further forwards,but it wouldn't balance on lol

Yes, further up toward the windscreen, think it looks just stuck there where it is, doesn't seem to flow with the front contour, to low down at the front.

Hope this makes sense, I know what I mean, duh. :shrug:

TBH I think it would be negligible,it could actually suck air in if too far up :(

What about turning it round, air scoop to the front, would it be able to direct air where you want it, it may also look better visually?

I'd try a few test fits in various places, where it will get air to where you want it, and not look out of place.

Increasing air flow in would increase under bonnet pressure & in theory slow air flow through the rad/chargecooler.
At the mo I am thinking further forwards facing the same way.If not,then back to a louvred type vent

Yeh, get what your saying about the air flow, looks like it's going to be a bit of trial and error mate.

I may well ditch the scoop as I'm not sure I can get it how I'd like :(

Perhaps a meshed Evoesque vent instead ?

Hey bud, I think it's the squareness of the scoop at the front of the bonnet it doesn't really fit with the shape of the front, didn't mind the look from back looking forward if you know what I mean

I like the louvers better

I agree Chop,it was too square. I thought it had more shape to it looking at pics :(

Louvred vent arrived :)
Could come forwards a few inches still,with the addition of a vent either side going up the bonnet I think it will looks sweet

2 side ones look good, imo the middle one looks like a tumble dryer vent

Tbh its not to my taste, looks a bit to over the top for the Audi's lines. I would prefer something more like these pressed in to the bonnet

Two sides look spot on XP I like them I'm not sure on the middle one though, I think it's the style of it compared to the side ones rather then the idea of it being there
