I had a similar problem mate, I'm sure I had a thread on it and one of the lads told me how to fix it, give me a few mins and I'll try and find it.

Have you got it connected via the USB cable mate as well?

Have you tried without your iPod plugged in?

Or, on your android phone... have you checked you have 'Media Audio' ticked for your Audi pairing (click the settings cog next to the paired device).

Make sure you don't have Media Audio ticked for any other connected paired device, e.g. smartwatch.

Would only be an issue if one of those devices is also connected. If just paired, but disconnected, then can have the audio ticked no issue.
If it is connected to something else, use Tasker to automate connecting to the car (and disconnecting from the other device) when driving etc...

ahh well the other devices wouldnt have been connected so cant be that

I use Deezer from a S7 edge. Even though the bluetooth is connected to the car I have to go into bluetooth on the phone and select Audi MMI from paired devices every time. Then it works.
