yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Turns out there was already an order that was cancelled that they amended to get an earlier build week. So the number sent today was placed earlier but had a later build week.

So the correct order number is the one the dealer gave me and the other should come off the system at some point.

It would be nice if I could track the orders though!

Seeing as I'm bored with nothing better to do than pester Audi, I just called the CS as well.
On the tracker I'm still status 10, on live chat this morning he said all that is confirmed is the BW, but just now CS checked it up and I'm on status 20.
Guy on the phone (Ali) was more than happy to help, actually a pleasure to speak to! He confirmed that they are having issues with youraudi and it doesn't seem to be updating. If anyone wants peace of mind I would recommend calling them, if you're lucky and get a nice guy like I did they are more than happy to check your status, he understood that I'm just excited to know any updates.

How have you found dealing with Hull so far? I'm ordered through them as well. A little sluggish in getting me a test drive but pleasant doing the business with after that so far.

Yeah so far really good. Really pleasant, and quite helpful with test drives too tbh. Didn't have what I was thinking of trying the first day I popped in, but the guy put me in his S3 to try out the s-tronic anyway.

York on the other hand, nightmare, I'd avoid them like the plague. Don't think they actually want to sell cars at that place!

5 days free insurance. Is that standard across the board with any Audi order?
No idea, I just mentioned I could sort insurance in advance now I had the reg number. And he said, save you some trouble, I'll sort your 5 days insurance out now. Sent me an email which appears to be an Audi thing, so probably worth asking if you wanted it.

Interesting reading about how you two have had decent experiences with Hull Audi. I went in a while ago, was just before they moved to their new showroom across the road and was incredibly disappointed. I'm fairly young - 28 I think at the time and they didn't take me seriously at all. I enquired about an A3 Saloon with one of the first sales reps I found. He attempted at first to fob me off before then handing me over to a trainee who clearly had a lot of spare time on his hands and knew very little about the A3 range in general. I gave up and have since ordered through Grimsby Audi who have been fantastic, not only from a customer service perspective but also very amenable on price.

I've found the only decent section of Hull Audi is the parts department. Speak to Danny in there, he's really helpful and will usually offer the max discount straight off the bat by just asking if he can "do it any cheaper".

Grimsby was actually where I had my test drive. Salesman in there was fantastic sourcing me a car and if I didn't live so close to Hull Audi in relation to Grimsby I would have chosen them too to be honest.

With regards to not being taken seriously, that is exactly how i felt during my entire experience with mercedes. I'm a year or two older than you, and they didn't seem to think I was ever going to buy a car. Got me the test drives but when I said I was leaning Audi it was almost like "oh well, bye!" whereas BMW tried their hardest to drag me away. Could be just unfortunate with the individual staff members though, good and bad at all dealerships I imagine!

Right guys update,

I spoke to audi chat again just now who have just told me that my car is build & ready for shipping. This does not sound real???? For starters i only ordered the car last month! How much do you reckon imran who i spoke to got it wrong?? My car order date on tracker is 10/10/16 i actually ordered 26/1/17 so its taken a month?

My thoughts are the car must of already almost been built & my slot was ages ago but i dont know now. Im gunna have to check with audi because it does not seem true :/

what has the average wait been for cars to land at uk port once release for shipping at the port anyone??

Sounds like your dealer has used one of their early build slots so you're a lucky ****** ;)

Yep, sounds like you're a lucky one! I ordered 26/01/17 but tracker shows 28th december, so my dealer gave me a different slot. looks like you got even luckier and got a slot from october, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was built already based off that!

Imran on the online chat wouldn't tell me jack, so he must have been having a good day today :D

Mine arrived in Grimsby on 22 January and arrived at the dealers on 1 February. Normally around 2 weeks.

As some people have managed to get some success out of talking to Audi Chat I've just done the same. I ordered back at the beginning of December and after quite a bit of hassle with my dealer got a build date of May 8th in the tracker. Still a long time!

I've just chatted to them and they are now saying my build date is 8th March. When I went to ask approximately how long I would wait from build to getting it he said my provisional pick up date is the 1st June! When I challenged that, he just said well these things can change.

It does appear that the tracker, the factory and Audi UK are all quite disorganised and random which is kind of against type with a Germany company.

Looks like the trackers working again. Mines jumped from 'order received' to 'quality control' since this morning.

What was your wait from port in Germany to get to Grimsby pal?

My order still isn't in the tracker and the online chat seems to have vanished. I accessed it through the locate an audi centre page where it would pop up on the right hand side... how can I find it again?

It left Ingolstadt on 14 January and probably arrived in Enden on the same day. It then arrived in Grimsby on 22 January so just over a week. But for some on here their car has spent several weeks at Emden for some reason. There are always more ships going to Grimsby that to the other two ports of Sheerness and Tyne.

Open the above link, if it doesn't appear on the right hand side of the screen then it is not available at the moment. It never appeared for me when opening it.

Well maybe it is true then, i could now try & get the VIN number i guess. I will be looking at what ships leave emden.

If that is the case & its ready i must be one lucky lad :D

I know delivery usually takes 3-4 weeks but that's much earlier than i expected :D

Will keep you guys updated

FOUR MONTHS!!!!

Nothing will happen to my car if it keeps its provisional build date until June 5th... And I can't even track it yet.

I am not a fan of the Black Edition Alloy 5 spoke wheels; they are better than the other in my opinion but the standard 19 diamond polish wheels are much nicer. I may change them when I get the car and change the mirror covers to silver as that looks better too.

Tomorrow, if nothing changes, my car would have been stuck on the Quality Control screen for 3 weeks

"It's the final countdown" do do doo do...

Don't believe the tracker. The wife's car has been stuck in QC for three weeks also, whilst at the same time showing as "We are preparing to build your car" Dealer phoned yesterday to say it is ready for collection!!

Your a more patient man than me!!
May be but I'm already driving a 2.0TDI-184 s-tronic quattro so there will be little difference apart from the nice new car smell.

How on earth do you understand Marine Traffic?

I've looked on the website (being a right wad and not paying £4.99 for the app) there's a few ships in Emden but have no idea where they're going!

Is your car at the dock ready to be assigned to a ship?

My dealer informed me on Tuesday that my car is on a train. When the train is full it will drive towards Denmark. It could be eveything between 1 and 30 days!

Then it needs to go to the dealership where I did the purchase and I guess around that time, I can do the pickup.

I had that at Audi Wakefield, went to go look at a TTS I was 21 at the time and he more or less looked at me as if I was joking and that I couldn't afford what I was looking at. Ended up with an S3 in the end. Then this time I went back again when I went to order my new S3 and got fobbed off again! 23 this time, went to Audi Huddersfield and I can't recommend them high enough.

Logged on first thing and tracker still on status 10

Still dont think its working

This looks about par for the course and all too pat for my liking.
panel shop the Thursday before build week, paint shop on Friday, assembly on Saturday and into Q.C. on the Monday of build week.
That's where it will remain........ Welcome to "Team Q.C."
I'm just starting my third week of tracker showing Q.C. but I have been told the car is now in the docks at Emden.
Save yourself any stress and anxiety and stop watching the tracker. Just wait to hear from your dealer that the car has arrived at the docks
Just like we used to do before this tracker came on the scene

B.T.W. I watched a documentary about building Porsche 911's. They take 15 hours to assemble, then a couple of quick tests on a rolling road.
Lastly there is "a Final Inspection" which takes about 2 hours and then on to a tranporter
