What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

I don't have a road bike now , sold it a few months back , just my track bike and my pension pot bike.

Spraying the front badge, thought I'd have a quick look at the air filter, being a K&N,

I had a few colours in mind tony, and not just red , had a good old look at some images on the webby and they looked brill in a standalone situation but as soon as they were on a black Avant they just didn't work for me to be honest, just looked OTT, so decided to just play safe with a colour that I was happy with in the end.....I allways like to push the envelope out sometimes but on this occasion it wasn't applicable....maybe if I had an evo or wrx ...or still had the legacy...

i see what your saying mate, i'll be able to get away with the yellow as my wheels will be dark when i finally get them bought (waiting for stock to come in) so it'll just be right then

Just gave the lady a quick 2 1/2 hour wash lol ready for tomorrow when I change the gearbox oil.

And I think this is so apt for some of the jobs we seem to do.

Peeled off the plastidip from my badges as it was peeling, probably due to raining after it set. Do you have to seal them with clear coat?

maybe time to get some proper black finished badges dan....

This is how the car is sitting 4 weeks after having -45mm H&R springs fitted. Was hoping it would have reduced the reverse rake but still seem to have a large gap between the front wheel and arch, much more than the rear. It's really annoying me and it's all I can see every time I look at the car. I need to fix it, I cant imagine the springs are gonna settle any more than they have, the front has possibly settled a couple of mm since fitting.

What do you guys think? Is it B5 perches time? Are the springs possibly fitted back to front?

Attacked my front suspension....had all parts to replace all link and been waiting to fit my eibach i picked up about a year ago. I knew the top pinch bolt would be a bitch as it sheared off last year when i came to do this job..... anyway its all stripped now i need to take them to work to apply some heat on the pinch bolts and both abs sensor bolts as all broke! Oh and need a track rod end as had to chop that aswell.
Replaced the snub mount. Looking at the parts i removed they have all been replaces at some point. The snub mount was going brittle but not bad to say cars nearly on 167k. The bottom link arms had no play in whatsoever but while off getting replaced.
New wheels and tyres to fit when done aswell. Made my bonnet into a nice shelf for lin bins of bolts and tools

doesn't look to bad chap, the fronts are not far out and may drop a bit more yet, my front are a bit lower but not much. if you want to go lower still you will need either perches or change to coilovers.
looks nice all the same , you just need to loose the mudflaps chap , they look fine on saloons but I think they spoil the avants body styling, just my input.

Well answered to door to both the postman and parcel delivery guy today....

All I'm waiting on is one more rear caliper carrier and my set of goodridge hoses.

And I cannot believe the size of the rear calipers compared to the standard rears or even the OEM front calipers come to that.....they're HUGE!

Allmost forgot, had the delivery man here twice today aswell, got all excited with some big boxes , then relised they were for my good lady, been sad the rest of the day.....
