And a 90° reducer for the charge pipe
I ordered a 90° ally bend for the intake but instead got a 90° stainless exhaust bend

Oddly when we went to add the 12v to pin 43 we found the wire already present going to an unused point buried behind the dash. Simply extending this wire and adding a spade connector so we could plug it into an unused 12v fuse socket in the fuse box.

Right I've got majority of the pipe work all ready now, it's going on this Monday, I'm pretty excited, no exhaust yet though but ordered a few exhaust pipes to mock one up, I've still got standard oil lines and coolant so I'm hoping I can do something with it, and no gaskets

Should I be running a gasket on the plate? Along with the standard exhaust mani?

i'd imagine so, you'll want the standard 1.8T gasket between the plate and the cylinder head, and the TFSI gasket between the plate and turbo

My tuner is now telling me that the m3.8.3 ecu is basically not possible to run the ko4, so I'm still a wall again, I've been reading on the me7 conversion but this is all new to me, I reckon I've got the basics;

TB
ECU
Engine harness
N112/n75
Accelerator box
Maybe the oil sump sensor, cause mines analogue clocks

which tuner?

Prawn happily ran his K04-064 on an M3.8.3 for years. Made a solid 360hp and thrashed the balls off it.

The ME7.5 ECU is certainly easier to tune, granted, but the M3.8.3 can do the job.

You wont need oil sensor, but you'll probably have to tweak the wiring to use the old style temp sensor. Minor task.

You need EITHER a DBW pedal box, or a PFL S4 throttle sensor which attaches to the existing pedal.
You need clutch and brake switches from a DBW car, and the piece of harness that goes from the plenum box to the throttle and the brake/cltuch switches.
you need the DBW engine harness (APU will work, as well as the AWT one, but APU needs some modifications)
I used a TT ECU. Various others are available.
N75 the standard one works fine, and i had the N112 and N249 etc properly mapped out, so they're not fitted at all.
Wideband lambda needed
Boost sensor needed

I might have some of the bits if you go down this route. I think i have an APU harness, and i have an ECU that may or may not work.
 
I spoke to a guy called Nick at R tech and he forwarded me to TRP developments, I've got an AGU ecu unlocked as well

But by all means if you know someone that can tune the AGU ecu just to happily run with the ko4 on, please let us know it'll save a lot of faffing

Well RTech tuned prawns car. Perhaps go back to them and see if they can recommend someone else who isnt an idiot.

I believe RTech wont touch quattros at all, which is a shame. They only have a 2wd dyno.

I think Unicorn can tune these ECU's.

Developed a noise now coming from under the intake maybe bell housing area, like a rotating wobble type noise? Sounds like a failed DMF?

I think I've figured it, I jacked the car as soon as I got home and had a feel on all metal components, and it feels like it's coming from the water pump, when I lay my hand pretty much flat in it, I can proper feel something going on under there, but it's very intermittent, it does it once every what, 5-6 seconds

Yeah Aragorn, I'm at a crossroads with this car cause it just keep giving me hassle, for what I'm putting into her anyway so either I need a time out from it, or it needs to go to someone who can fully take advantage, either way I'm gonna give it a week, if it doesn't go then I'll progress

was the pump busted?
My TB marks don't line up at all
When I turn the engine from the crank to line the top marks up the bottom is a little retarded, about a tooth backwards;
I'll try get pics but surely this affects the car no?

pic needed really, sometimes it looks a bit out but its just the way the belt tension has been taken up.
I'll take some tomorrow, I couldn't fit the TB today cause apparently it needed to be ordered from Watford so I didn't strip anymore today
