yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Mine flew threw QC in 2 days but has been waiting to board the boat for 2weeks it's passed the gate and is waiting, I was told it would be here beginning of march, they are cutting it close

This is cutting it close, only 8 days until February is over. Maybe tomorrow is the time to get onto the dealer?

Worth having a chat online with Audi customer services. Mine's still at status 38, but reached Grimsby a week ago said customer service, so probably already at the dealership.

Hi guys,

Sorry about posting in the A3 section even though I am ordering an A5 but I've been keeping tabs on this forum for a while now especially this thread. Oh and also the A5 forums are non existent

I was wondering if any of you received a direct email from Audi sayings that the car has passed quality control and that it's on the way? My car has been sitting in QC on the tracker for a week now and it is strange that since I received this email (13.02.17) nothing has changed on the tracker. It's Still at status 24 QC. Oh and also my build week was 7. So if I were to go by the email I received, the car was built and passed quality control on the day it was supposed to start getting built.
Hi

I have an a5 on order build week 7. Tracker stuck on QC for about 2 weeks but car on the ship....actually in U.K. Now.

Seems when it reaches QC on the tracker not to worry if it seems to be 'stuck' there as more often than not it's already on a ship or in the UK.

I have Build Week 10 (6th March) and I'm still on Status 10 as of this evening. 'Order Received'.

Has the dealer given you a different update mate? Preparation or team began building your saloon?

He just said the build date had come forward a week which I knew anyway through the tracker. Tracker says 'Order Received' (after Welcome to Ingolstadt) even though it's being built in Gyor as a Saloon.

Went to pay for mine on the 16th and questioned it I was told it had gone through the gates and was waiting to board but no update yet

I have the same build date and I'm hoping to get some luck and have it registered before April, no idea if that's possible at all. How is yours looking on the tracker? Mine hasn't changed to prep yet.

Anyone know what the earliest point a car can be registered? Presume it's before delivery but also presume the car has to at the very least be in the country?

Mine hasn't moved to prep yet either - if they are still ahead it could move any day now.

I'm on build week 9 and still on status 10 this morning

I can quite honestly say, and like others have said - The tracker clearly isn't working correctly. We have people weeks ahead and people weeks behind with no pattern to it.

I'm starting to wonder if what should have been a great feature for customers new car experience has actually created more problems than it's solved. I know from own experience that this feature has given me something worry about whether it's what the spec of the car is or when it's being built.

It's shame really as some people have had a great experience with it whilst others have had nothing but frustration and worry. Can't help but think if we didn't have it and we all just accepted the car 'comes when it comes' it would be better.

10/10 for the idea Audi
1/10 for execution

Ordered 5/12/16 given BW8 - 20th Feb supposedly - still on 'order received'

I agree, seemed to be working quite well until the end of January.... Now all I'm seeing is people with builds commencing now and before saying they've got no update :( I'll have to stick with emailing the dealer

Hi Guys not to worry too much. Mine has been 2 weeks in QC on the tracker but I just got an email from the dealer saying that is on the ship....arrives in UK this evening.
I went in to my dealer last night and was fobbed off a little. They just said "QC can just take a while.. it will be soon". I wanted them to actually check where it is but never mind.

I'm cautious because I need to get my private plate on retainer and don't want it to delay me further if I get the email "oh your car is with us now.. please come collect" :)

I must admit registering with the 'youraudi/cf' website provided me with emails giving a much more up-to-date position than Your Audi. Perhaps the basic information on the Audi AG computers is more up-to-date and the Audi UK Your Audi site is not updating properly.

As I have written before I have a build week 7 Monday 13/02/17 the order has now been stuck in Q.C. for over a week
I have just been going over my emails again and have re checked the email from Audi UK (mail@audicrm.co.uk) dated Tuesday 14/02/17
I had ignored this email as I had already checked the dreaded tracker that day it was still showing Q.C.
Re-reading this email it says.........
"With your new Audi already in transit, an exciting journey has begun. We don't want you to miss a thing so here's a reminder to use the yourAudi portal."
The pertinent phrase being ..."already in transit"
I can't imagine why this would be sent if the car was still in Q.C.
It would though make sense if the car was now "in transit from Factory" which is status 30 I believe
If you are stuck in Q.C. it might be worth checking your emails you may have also missed this
Good luck to you

You can retain your plate on line now, I received the retention certificate after 3 days, you get an immediate email confirmation of the retention but you need the cert for it to be applied to the new car.

Your dealer will know when the car has arrived at U.K. Port, that's when I started the retention process.

If you call Audi customer services they will be able to tell you more.

Am I the only one that doesn't receive these Audi emails? :|

Hi CookD, as TYb has said the new online cherished plate system on the DVLA is great. I did mine just recently as I've used the old paper system for years on numerous car and knew how long it take. I thought wrongly the new system may take a similar time frame but was shocked to find that it's virtually instant. The only wait was a couple (2-3 iirc) of days for the new V5 and retention doc. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that it's now only £80 to retain and it last 10 years.

I've not received any either.
Me as well..... I've put it down to the salesman maybe not entering my email address on the order form. Either that or he has put his down so that he gets any forwarding updates directly!?

I just got this (BW10). Bit daft, as I've had a yourAudi account for a couple of years, which contains this order, so I'm already tracking it. Further proof that the whole tracker needs further work!

Audi Email said:
Congratulations on choosing your new Audi A3 Saloon. As your car will shortly join our production line, it’s the perfect time to view its progress on yourAudi.

We recently sent you an email telling you how to log in and track your order at this unique online portal. If you set up your account now, you’ll also receive updates of your car at each stage from assembly to delivery.

Just click below, enter your order number, and you won’t miss a thing.

I'm guessing that's just a generic email to let you know you can track your order, wouldn't have thought it knows that you're already tracking.

It should really check to see if the order in question is already being tracked in the account, and if so then suppress this email.

When my A3 was being built I received one email from Audi UK inviting me to look in to Your Audi. I also received several emails from my dealer updating me on progress. I also registered with the 'youraudi/cf' and received an email whenever the the Status number changed. My car is now at the dealers.

I originally had a May build week and then April and now it's March. They do shift quite a bit and it took about a month for mine to move :)

ok mate thanks a lot, yeah hopefully it should shift forward a few weeks then, mine is saying a may build but id be happy with april haha.

The problems with the tax is what it is :unamused:

I will be keeping a close eye on the tracker haha!

Are you getting manual or S-tronic? If you're getting s-tronic you'll only be £55 worse off than before April registration, and will then save a WHOPPING £5 per year afterwards! :D

Not if he's over £40k, it'll be a lot more after April!

True, I was just going off the spec in his signature. There's probably a few of us on here (myself included) that will be more like £1.5k down over 5 years if we don't catch March registration :(

Ah I'm viewing on mobile so can't see his spec.

I know I will! Tracker says QC so hopefully should be here and sorted before then!

I think I've decided to give up on the tracker! I had high hopes, but seeing what others are saying about QC delays only for the car to actually be in transit or even at the dealers I'm going to presume it's not entirely reliable!

Maybe I'm just kidding myself because I'm BW 10 and yet to move into prep haha! I'll tell myself its a load of BS, until it looks like its working in my favour :rockwoot:

I just ordered an S3 Saloon today here in the UK.

It's a Black edition pretty fully loaded (Audi code A752FS3T if anyone is interested).

It isn't showing yet on the order tracking but Audi CS told me its been provisionally allocated to build week 23 starting 5th June.

Is this likely to move forward? How long before I can track it online?

This is a massive thread and a summary would be great! Thanks.

Congratulations on your order, that is quite the spec! For me, it was just over a week from placing the order before tracking went live. You'll get an email from Audi saying order received, then one more confirming order number and saying its now possible to follow through youraudi

Hi and welcome! You can usually track your order online within a week of ordering (the dealer will email you the tracking/build number) and the dates can come forward. Personally mine came forward by 1.5 months :)

Tracker hasn't moved since reaching status 38 and getting on the train to Emden, the status code hasn't changed either in the API/JSON. Shame, as up till then, the YourAudi site was really good.
However:

Email from Audi to says it's at the dealership being prepared for me. :)
