What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Well the cars fully back together and seems to drive one hell of a lot nicer. I think I may have had a slight problem with the turbo ever since I bought it.

Did an oil flow test on it and it seems well within the parameters of what I was told it should be.

Anyway I seem to have a few pieces left over.....runs ok without them!

almost ready for a remap now carl.....should be pumping out a shed load more torque /power now...

@carl, be running loads cleaner with that pile of sh@*e off it as well

It wasn't using them Tony as the EGR was switched off in my map....but less places for soot and other crap to build up.

You could be right Rob, I'll get a clutch fitted first and then get it live mapped.....but it's definitely quicker now. I'll find out on Sunday as I will be going to visit a good pal so there will be plenty of private test tracks to have a play on!

Well I gave the front brakes a bit of a seeing to today and I'm glad they do what they say on the tin, no fade what so ever and I think they were glowing at one point.

Need to get the rears done asap as I don't think the 255mm discs cut it that well.

I can't understand why they put 312mm up front and puny 255mm on the rear of such a heavy car.

Details are in my own build thread, but to cut it short; a service, some plastidipping and de-badging! Was nice to have a mild weekend and not freeze my nuts off.

(It's not as messy as it looks, it's the image aliasing on the screen because I reduced image size. Also, I know my exhaust is hanging low...that whole exhaust is a sore point - dislike!)

Looking good!

I'm always tempted by OZ due to the weight, don't suppose you had them on the scales/felt the weight compared to other alloys while they were off?

Very keen to bite the bullet but it will mean going from 19" wheels I love the look of to 17" wheels I love to drive on haha.

Spraying the front badge, thought I'd have a quick look at the air filter, being a K&N,

The Superleggeras that Dimi has are around the 10kg mark if I remember correctly as they are forged and they added special titanium-enriched alloy to the metal and also used a special method of heat treating and shot peening the alloy which are used in aerospace manufacturing so it made them a strong yet very light alloy to have.

That's why I wish I would've had to money at the time Dimi was thinking of buying them as I would've had them in a split second.....best thing is he got a great deal on them!

your woofer has the best idea, just letting things drift by without a care......

nice bit of work there GDCAUDI, bet she feels almost brand new, i want to do all my front arms and bushes next on mine, then the rear as it wont be long before some of them are past it

soon time for a upgrade to a newer car eh tony...or are you like me a B7 addict...still the one and only avant for me i'm afraid.

Doing the rears tomorrow then road test and then 4 wheel alignment. Then going to tackle the camshaft chain over the weekend!!

Removed the genuine audi dog guard that's been in place for almost as long as I've had the car.......don't need it now as the woofers are better behaved , well a bit .
Putting it in the classified shortly for sale, its in ex cond...

I'll not sell mine Rob mate, put far to much money into it now, it drives better than most new cars I've driven including audi's, i got the blade going this year so i'm goning to buy a week end toy or track toy

selling the bike, what's that all about tony, no bike........nope couldn't be without mine even if I get to old to ride it properly....lol

Not really used it over the last 2 years and its just going to sit most of this year to, I've been thinking of starting a weekend/track project since my mate got his a while back and I'm getting sick of watching him have all the fun in little petrol turbo's

fair do's then tony...I still prefer the buzz I get from two wheel power, there,s something about bikes that you just don't get from cars ....

Totaĺly agree mate but im starting to think i may of had my fair share of close calls, and the amount of prat's on the road i may be better of with out it I've had a bike for the last 18 years mate so i will miss it.
