yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Heyup Guys, just had a live chat with audi, Well its good news :) and slightly rubbish :(

I have put the pictures in, but expected build week 22. Is anyone else got theirs around that time? That's roughly gonna be June.

I ordered in January, 6 months wait again like my golf, Wow its a long time, unless it comes forward which i hope but i doubt it very much.

That sucks, hopefully it gets brought forward for you! I guess I got lucky with a build spot from my dealer, I ordered 26th Jan and have week 10 build expected.

Ordered S3 Black edition, 23rd Jan was told by dealers that their next S3 slot allocations were from 12th of Feb. So was expecting provisional BW of around 16-18 when I rang earlier today for an order update. I nearly fell off me chair when He said BW 38!! Anyone else had a ridicuolous provisional BW given shortly after placing their order?

Just checking - your order is for a 3-door, not a sportback?

My order for an S-Line 3-door, placed on 04 January was provisionally given a build week in the mid-twenties.

Your not wrong, it really does suck! Yes the weather will be great at that time, but its just such a long wait :(

Iv ordered 3 door & its not totally speced up so maybe it might come forward, but thats me hoping and praying :disappointed::tearsofjoy:

May as well start saving some money now for fuel & things to buy for it :) lool

Yes mate 3 door, was told by dealer that was why? He said will come forward but obviously he can't say by how much.
He has got another 3 door S3 customer at minute who ordered at start of Jan and was given something like BW 33, he says that order has recently been changed to BW 17/18, so fingers crossed I get a similar jump.
My current car is on a 4 year so no issues with that other than its due 3rd service and MOT on 10th June, so would like earlier than that ideally, which is why I placed my order in Jan!!

Notice Carl having similar issues with his 3 door order, so maybe was something in what my dealer said.

Just 00002 weeks!

I'm giving up on the YourAudi tracker.

I get an email today saying that my car is "on the ship" yet the tracker still states it's in Quality Control. The tracker is at least a week behind for me. So my car has traveled from Gyor in Hungary to Emden, sat and waited for a ship and then boarded a ship all whilst the tracker is still stating it's in Quality Control when it should instead be "In Transit".

Wish this was the case, mines been in QC 9 days but Audi have said it's still there (and not waiting for a boat). Hopefully come Friday it will be moved or Audi will be getting a call.

Perhaps Quality Control found a problem and it is being rectified. Audi UK may be able to give information but have no control over what happens at the factory. Perhaps it's just Your Audi that is having a problem and is out of date.

Chances are CookD, yours will be the same. I'd have a word with your dealer.

Is there a way to find out which Ship a car is on? I'm guessing mine is on the Isar Highway which is due into Grimsby tomorrow evening at 20:30hrs. I only live 30 mins from Grimsby so tempted to drive over and watch it being unloaded.

Even if that sounds incredibly sad! haha

Unfortunately not. Even Audi UK don't know and doubt if even Audi in Ingolstadt know. It's up to the shipping agents in Emden.

Audi tracker said mine left the factory in ingolstadt 10 days ago and not had an update since

Just logged in and seen mine has now changed to panel shop, was due for build 20th Feb so is a few days early.

Here in Denmark there is no MyAudi Tracker feature. I ordered a A3 Sportback 1.4 TFSI on January 23rd, (3,5 weeks ago) and was just told by the Audi seller that it will be build next week.

Isn't that pretty fast? How long should I expect from build week to ready at Audi?

I'm very jealous, looks like you're going to get new plates and beat the new tax rules!

What model did you get? The Sedans get made in a different factory and others have got them pretty fast

Hopefully! Got my own plate going on anyway but will be nice for it to be a 17 rather than a 66.

It is known to be able to track your car once on the ship. Only certain carriers do VIN tracking though.

If you can find out what ships go from germany, BMW use bremerhaven but not sure about audi. I'm sure a quick google would tell you.

You can then track ships on the internet i believe, cant remember the sites though but its only the same as planes on flightrador etc.

hope this helps :D

oh yeah also... my cars build week 22 apparently got a long A$$ wait yet ! :(

Audi use the port of Emden in Germany to send their cars to the UK. You can use a application called Marine Traffic (https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ai...t:GRIMSBY/_:e70e0bc5cbdeaa879691fdbd4f9f3ed80) to show you which ships are due in at Grimsby and when. Mostly they are ships with the word '??????? Highway' in their name although sometimes ships named 'City of ??????' are also used.
Once the Your Audi says your car has arrived at Emden and then been 'loaded on a ship' you can check which ships are leaving Emden bound for Grimsby. Each ship has something like 750-850 cars on board so it may be a bit difficult to spot you particular car when they are unloaded!

Dealer is none-the-wiser, although it seems like she has misunderstood my question. I'll get back onto Audi Live Chat for an update tomorrow (they said come back if it's still in QC on Friday).

Nah, mines a Black Edition Sportback
Hmmm... seems as if mine and yours are being tracked directly next to each other but the saloon is in a completely different factory from what I've heard.
Wondering how true this tracker system is to be honest.
Mine updated at exactly 12am lastnight/this morning

If you're unsure, you can contact Audi Live Chat, they seem to have a more direct way of knowing which stage it's at. If your Saloon was a 20th Feb build and is being built already then I'm hoping they're in front with orders at Gyor then as mine is estimated built around 6th March. :D

If your impatient like me and want to view all the stages in youraudi even though you are still in the order received stage.

Open up the web browsers development tools, select an HTML element like preparation go to the console in developer tools and enter the following:

angular.element($0).scope().orderstatus = 70

This will trick the webpage into thinking your car is ready for collection, you should now be able to click around and view any of the videos.

Pity it won't make the car come any faster.

Turns out my tracker hasn't updated and the car is in the country! Going in next week to sign the papers!!

I haven't posted on this site since I picked up my new A3 in 2014. No tracker in those day but I picked it up 4 weeks after build week
I am now waiting on an S3 sportback S'tronic Build week 07
Reading the various posting on this thread, it seems that major changes occur on Thursdays.
I read somewhere that the factory only operates on weekdays, so logically only 20% of orders ought to be changing on a Thursday.
On the Thursday 3 weeks before my build week my order went into preparation
On the Thursday before my build week my order made it in to the panel shop
On the Friday my order made it into the paint shop. On Saturday It was at assembly stage
Does any of this look familiar?
On the Monday ( the start of the quoted build week) it was in Quality Control. (Assembly completed, but I thought they didn't work weekends)
It is now the end of the quoted build week and it is still in Q.C.
I have read postings for earlier and now later build weeks and the pattern seems to be repeated

I think there is more likely a script that moves the tracker in the above pattern, This seems to happen regardless of which factory the car is being build
I'm not sure if this applies to every car but S3's in what ever configuration seem to follow this.
Perhaps Q.C. should be taken as "STILL IN PRODUCTION"
My car will arrive whenever it arrives, but I don't think the tracker is anywhere near a true reflection of the build
So don't get your hopes up too much

This is identical to how mine went, I was scheduled for build week 6. I've been in "QC" since last Monday.

Yes I was watching your "progress" and there are a couple of others on week 8 that are now on the Friday stage.
I'm not sure what to make of it. It could be the tracker is just stopping at Q.C. as some are hearing they are ready for pick up and still seem to be in Q.C. on the tracker. If it takes 3 days for panel fit, paint and assembly does it really require twice as long to check it all works correctly.

Thinking about it The tracker doesn't always show the correct car, about 50% of he time I show as a black edition which I haven't ordered, so if they can't debug that glitch, it is possible there is another glitch regarding the tracking progress

Audi have quoted to me "QC can take upto 2-3 weeks" but your comment regarding assembly timescales should make this statement redundant.. unless the tracker is just total BS.

Who knows :)

I find it difficult to believe that it takes 2-3 weeks for QC unless they're going to take it apart and reassemble it again.
That's about the timescale the TV program "CAR SOS" works to.
Still as I said before it will arrive when it arrives

This is all rather strange. Much earlier in this thread a couple of members registered with a website youraudi/cf. Some were not too sure about this site as it's not part of Audi AG but all the site wants to know is your email address, your order number and a password. I used a unique password that I had not use anywhere else. Once registered the site sent me emails giving me the progress on my car on a daily basis once the production had started. Each email also gave the history so far together with a full list of the items used to build my particular A3. This is an example of the status data:

Your order status has changed from 20 - Preparation to 30 - Left Factory!
Your Audi has left the factory.
Audi A3 Sportback Sport 2.0 TDI quattro 184 PS S tronic
Colour: Floret silver, metallic
Current Status: 30
Order Date: 15/11/2016
Build Week: 16/01/2017 (BW03)
Order History:
Status 24 - 16/01/2017
Status 23 - 14/01/2017
Status 22 - 13/01/2017
Status 21 - 12/01/2017
Status 20 - 13/12/2016
Status 10 - 19/11/2016

I received an email every time the status changed. So if you are happy to use this website - make sure you use a unique password and you may well get the same information as me.
My A3 has now arrived at my dealers and I will be collecting it, probably on 2nd March to avoid the rush of the 1st. I will then be taking on holiday back to Germany on 5 March for a week.
