Glow plug light just started flashing on my Audi A3 2.0tdi 2004, anyone know why it's doing it?

That light doubles-up. When it flashes when you're driving along, it denotes a fault in the engine management system. You need to get it plugged into a diagnostic error code reader to see what fault (s) have been registered in the ECU.

I'd put my money on egr fault.

My 2011 a3 8p glow plug came on turned out to be egr ..lucky for me under warranty
