rns e telephone problems

Hi I wonder whether anyone can help me please.
I have fitted a rnse sat nav unit and Bluetooth unit to my 2012 a3 cab. I have tried to code it to the car. The sat nav and Bluetooth are working however it's coming up with insert SIM card on the telephone display and won't transfer my contacts.
I have tried to put the code 0011422 but it says error code 31.
It accepts code 0001422 but will not allow me to change the third digit to a 1? I have tried to reset the unit by pressing radio and setup together but this has still not worked.
Can anyone help me?

That's your problem, the D is not compatible with comfort mode, so you cannot set it up for RNS-E, only Concert or Symphony etc.

You need any of these C, F, K, H, M, Q and S modules, although Q & S are probably the best.

Ok so What's the difference say between an m model and the q and s?
