2017 S5 Coupe lead times

Hi all. Ordered my S5 Coupe on 11 January. At the time the dealer could not confirm a build date - still waiting for them to confirm. Order form states delivery by May.

Checked yourAudi just now and it states build date is 15 May 2017 - that's not what I was expecting as that means June delivery

Any chance that date will come in?
 
Not sure as build dates tebd to move by quite a bit. Mine was ordered in nov and since then it has moved from march to early april to early may and to mid april where it has stayed so far.

In my admittedly limited experience, it seems that dealers can influence the build date, so its worth keeping in contact with your salesperson about it.
 
I've just ordered a Sportback today and currently being told end of April delivery, however that may be salesman patter and I'll await a delay once the build slot is confirmed

Got an update today and it's now build week 17 which I believe is mid April. Est delivery mid May.
 
On piston heads there are lots of lease buyers from November that were originally March/April delivery been put back to May/June.

Seems there are some cracking. Lease deals so maybe over subscribed?

Luckily I ordered late Oct and was week 5 build, it started a week early but then stuck in QC for 12 days but eventually moved to on its way last night!

Getting worried now in case it moves out again as I am impatient! Also starting to see more stories about the RS5 and the possibility that it could be available to order from June after a launch at Frankfurt.
 
Woohoo, just got a phone call to say my Sportback is confirmed at week 10 meaning a late march, likely early April delivery. Well chuffed with that

Great news for you! Frustrating for me as I ordered same day yet mine seem so to be a month or so behind yours...typical!

I did question it and he said that they had a guy that is very close to the factory, and he slipped it in. No idea the reality or whether it was just luck but hey. We'll see when it actually arrives. Hopefully yours will move forward in the process, which I understand can happen if orders are cancelled etc

Sounds like you got lucky, will shorten this awful wait! I suspect they do latch on to cancelled orders, mine states an order date of 28 th December and I didn't order it until end of January!
 
My car (Coupe) started build a week early it week 3 and it flew through most stages of build apart from QC (12 Days) and now 10 days and counting at Docks.... so if they promise a time for delivery I think you might need a bit of "flex". My Previous S3 was the same and turned up a month late!
 
Can't wait to see it fella!! Make sure you get plenty of pictures for us waiting like kids for Christmas!

Hey Chimp, I've got a feeling our cars are very close together. I've got an A5 Coupe on order, it started the build process a week early in week 5 was in QC for like a day and it's been at the docks since the 3rd so 10 days at Emden. Audi customer service have said it usually takes around 14 days too ship.
 
Scratch that, just had a call from my dealer saying it's in the UK, maybe the tracker isn't working correctly right now.

Damn! lucky you :) I called Audi CS and they ask the sales desk and they said its at the port...and the track says (the code API page) status 38 which I believe is at port in Emden. Taking ages to get on the damn boat!

But don't want it until March... but I do... but must resist !

Although realistically what different in money would a 17 plate fetch to a really late 65?

So I've had an email from Audi UK saying my S5 has been provisionally scheduled for getting built week starting 6th March (two weeks away), but I still can't get youraudi to work with the order number I was given by the garage and my postcode which is annoying. Assuming it gets built that week, any idea on how long it is after that until I can get my grubby mitts on it?
