Got a 2.0 tdi 170 bhp standard and looking to remap the car. Seen a garage claiming they can remap my A6 to 250 bhp. Is this possible? Cars a 59 plate. Thanks in advance

Highest I have seen a company offering is 227bhp with celtic tuning and thats with a DPF delete (replaced with straight through pipe) performance air filter (K&N or Pipercross) and remap. Celtic have a lot of mixed reviews so I would go from a recommendation with proof personally i.e real before and after figures.

Their economy/performance remap takes you between 190bhp and 198bhp max. Most companies offering remaps/tuning options like Revo, superchips and AMD have very similar figures for the 168BHP engine. None of them claim over the 200bhp mark.

Im not 100% what you would need for 250ish BHP, im guessing DPF delete, air filter, intercooler and as mentioned above a turbo. Just my 2 cents.

Just for reference AMD in essex did my MK2 Focus ST and after the service they provided me I would not take my car anywhere else, their BHP claims were bang on as well. Fantastic service plus they tune BTCC cars there on site so they know what there doing.

Celtic have good misleading figures because their dyno is out , lol .

It's easy to catch them out as every car is too generous on the standard run before remapping .

A 130 1.9 PD is 144 , a 136 Hyundai 1.7 crdi is 151 , it's a joke...

No "real" figures there , just pub willy waving ones .

Best I managed was 210hp / 490nm with dpf off smoke free
EGT's were at 900deg so there is no scope left for anymore fuel so 250hp is not possible.

Who did that for you and has it changed the car much. Sorry to hijack the thread.

I did was on a cr170 vw for a guy i know.
Changed? Off course you have more power.

Drivetrain is fine as long as the power is bought in progressively etc

Sorry for late reply. A company in Plymouth state 250 bhp remap is possible, but I thought it was a bit much, I'm waiting on a for Audi in Glasgow to reply to me about what they can offer. I thought egr deletes were mot failures?
