So, the car is a 2007 Audi A8 D3 chassis with the 3.0 TDI engine equipped with the sports package (not SE). Silver in colour with genuine OEM 19" alloys.

I have a lot of plans for this car but rather than talk about things I will show you what I actually do, actions speak louder than words!

I have fitted some chameleon wrap to the fogs, simple enough and helps change there effect at night, some will like other will not but this is an effective £5 modification:

Next up I took the car to Derby Remapping Services (in Derby) and had a custom map - the car after the map is running circa 290bhp, a little more aggressive than the normal type of remap. Obviously it gas transformed the car and better still NO SMOKE!

Short Pressed Number Plates ordered off Amazon. Legal ones too. Fitted the rear, looking at using a standard size one on the front owing to the plate recess.

This week I have done something I have wanted to do forever, removed the back boxes and fitted straight pipes along with nice tips. Here is the car before:

And after (excuse dirty car and pics, will post better ones when cleaned up!)

This week I have ordered the lowering links for the air suspension. I will be fitting 15mm spacers all round when I fit the links.

My number plates were supplied by TNPF on Amazon, highly recommended:

Another job I will be tackling this week is the front grille, its needs some coating to bring it back to its best so I will be using this:

These are the lowering links I have ordered from Amazon, coming from Germany. A very fair price:

Looking good fella. What were the services like at derby remapping services? I was looking at taking my a6 3.0tdi down to amd but just wondered what they did to your a8 seeing as im in derby myself. Did you have a rolling road etc before and after?

Highly recommended to be honest, I have gad several cars mapped using all the big companies, to be honest unless your running a huge set up this is perfect - I paid £179 - done within the hour, no rolling road but I think they can do at another depot for extra.

If you take a look at their Facebook page they have loads & loads of positive reviews, thats what swayed it me to be fair, and the price. They are based in Sawley Park just iff Nottingham Road near Virgin Active DE21 - highly recommended

One of the littles issues I have come up against is fitting a smaller number plate to the front grille. This is because it has a standard number plate sized recess. You can buy filler plates for around £70-80 but these are so you can remove your plate. So what I am doing is simple. Ive dug out an old plate, sprayed satin black and super glued my small plate to it - so far so good. Just waiting for the rain to stop so I can swap them over and see how it looks

Just a little addition for when the wheels are refurbed as I am missing a couple. Just need to order some fresh caps now.

Any difference in the ride having the spacers fitted?

To be fair yes, only a very small amount but the look from the front & rear is far more aggressive & sporty - highly recommended

Today I have debadged the A8, a couple of minutes with the hair dryer, no glue, very easy. Followed up with claying then used my DA to polish and wax the area.

And a little before (when I bought the car) and after (since the spacers, exhaust & debadge)

Hands up I need to try again tbh - they are easy to swap over but I think you need to restart the car after doing them to reset the suspension - I didn't and the car was just slammed so I swapped them back to oem - will be trying again soon!

Air filter changed, old one was only 8 months old?! I also altered the cold air feed pipe that leads into the airbox, standard it aims at the internal wall, now it aims directly at the filter - after a few days I can feel a positive change!
