noticed that my lever would just go up and then click with the front seat not being able to be pulled forward for access to the back.

What's gunna be the best way to fix this? Looks like something should be on there to keep the bracket in place?

Looks like a rivet has popped could you not put a new one in ?

Hrmmm. Maybe.

But I think a rivet would be too hard up against the arm. It needs to move within that slot if that makes sense?

Yeah Makes sense could you not look on the other seat and see what's there? I know Audi won't do parts either as when I needed a part for my seat it's just the full mechanism that they sell around £800 I think or just the seat

My passenger seat is also dodgy, been putting off fixing it. Couple of pics in this thread but it looks more like the part is different/worn rather than missing? :(

Yeah the tilt n slide is broken on passenger seat I have to tilt it forward then use the handle at the front to slide it forward also the handle on the door side doesn't work the connecting rod to the mechanism doesn't catch so to get in passenger side have to lean over to the one near the handbrake to tilt forward. I contacted recaro but they say go to Audi

use the ones from inside the seats next to the console to replace the outside ones my recaros have them on both sides

Not that easy .Yeah they all do but the actual mechanism is on the console side the handles on the outer side use a connecting rod. And he would still need to be able to fix it in place

Same issue but the opposite handle. ***.

I've been looking for some cheap seats for spares

well there was a wire from that hole you can see just to the right of the pin joining to the handle

but i guess because that side has been used heaps the wire snapped. i removed it before taking a photo

it'd be good to have a more permanent option rather than just wire or zip tie

might stick my head in when i got daylight on my side

what in the hell... i can't even tell what is on the front of the pin... that's a really weird looking retainer ... or... sultana?

The bit where your finger is in the first picture mate,is there enough depth to tap a thread on the inside of the rivet and screw a v.small bolt (or weld) in to stop it slipping off, maybe a stupid suggestion without seeing it for real, but no experience of it happening on mine yet.

yeah maybe that's a good idea

looks like it'd have to get "emptied out" first before being able to make a thread. Just hope it doesn't split when a threading tool is doing it's thing.

i'll check out the other side later and see how it's been done...
