About to buy an ex-demo FL A3 S-Line which I'm pretty happy about. The only thing that I wouldn't have specced is that it has the grey interior seats.

As we've got a 6 month old I'd like to get the seats protected in some way from future spills (but not by paying the dealer the £500 or whatever it was he wants for their protection). Not really sure where to start looking - specifically if there's someone in Manchester that'd be helpful, or if I should be able to do something myself with products?

Well, went to test drive and make the purchase today and made a bit of a show of not being keen on the grey interior and being concerned enough about spills with having a little one that I'd walk away. Rather than lose the sale, they said they'd throw in the paint and seat protection, which seems fair enough. Are there any downsides I should know about?

Depends who is applying it to the car! When you collect it check for swirls/scratches on the paint.

Will do - but as it's an ex-demo not sure I'd have any comeback either way. Picking it up next Sat.
