Hi
Got a 170 B8.5 quattro.
Recently noticed a few times in stop start traffic, generally up a bit of a long bank that the clutch starts to smell. I know you can generally blame this on my driving, but never had any issue with any other cars.
Typically its in stop start traffic, where crawling along about 3-4mph, where the speed in traffic isnt quite enough to fully release clutch. Generally try to pull away (on a hill) around 1250-1500rpm as you normally would.
Obviously get a bit of a clutch smell and judder when initially pulling away from a stand-still afterwards.
Anyone else noticed anything or is it just a bad trait of driving a diesel car in traffic ive picked up?
Chris
