Yea would be very tight in mine also. Has the op bought an rs3 yet? We've given you long enough.
Haha, I was due to do an update on this thread this weekend so will just do one now instead as your forcing me into it
!!
So I've driven two more RS3's as well as a bonkers TTRS my friend has for sale since the OP date.
First RS3 was £42500 with a really nice spec and pretty much ticked all the boxes.
Second RS3 was £39500 but had more miles and less options obviously.
Lastly the TTRS is a Stage 2+ APR pushing 430BHP + 610NM torque, It also has some lovely custom RS4 style Wingbacks rather than the standard leathers they came in.
I really shouldnt have gone in the TTRS is all i can say. But the thing is for me the lack of practicality with it. I mean barring the Mag suspension, Engine and few body components it is the same car as what I have now and it does look a bit dated, plus no new toys. But then I think to myself id be saving at least 15k upfront cost and now the new TTRS isnt going into production, surely they'll become much rarer ? Also buying off a friend whos had all the work done himself and treats it like his baby child is an added bonus.
I think realistically with the other things I have going on this year it would be foolish of me to jump into a massive pcp deal where I wouldnt be able to do anything else other than pay for my car each month. Ive put the numbers together and the best deal ive got so far is about 3k down and 675ish a month which i know isnt that bad but when I see the money monthly its still a silly amount taking into consideration all of my other monthly payments. Im not saying im going to buy the TTRS this weekend at all by any means, friends not in a rush to sell and he'd rather it went to someone he knew locally than to someone where he'd never get to see it again. Hes put a lot of work into it bless him. But I did absolutely love it and the wingbacks were so much comfier than the alcantara/leather sports seats. Did I mention it was a rocket
!
When i first thought about the idea of owning an 8V RS3 as my next car i knew it wasnt going to be cheap considering the spec that I wanted. I think the best thing for me right now is to keep my TT until I actually get any interest on it (It is now in the classifieds section on here).
Ive got a date in my head now that I want to be out of my current motor and in a new one but If it doesnt happen im not going to moan about it. Id rather be in the best position financially when negotiating the best deal, so that I can literally pull the trigger as I originally did with my TT. Plus my PCP on the TT ends next Jan
!
Sorry to those who have been strongly awaiting some pictures of an RS3. Shame I didnt win the Euros last night as would of been perfect timing
!
Hopefully you dont have to wait too long to see my next motor! It will be a five pot turbo though that I can promise.
