Post Pics Of Your A3/S3 8v In Here

Very kind words matey thanks ! :friends:

There are some top notch motors on here and it's great to bounce ideas off one another. I've tried to keep the subtle OEM look inside and out but also keep the car well balanced with engine, suspension and braking mods and spent way too much in the process LoL but really enjoying the car now prob go big turbo at some point next year.

Big Turbo....*** ....it would be rude not too...lol

G'day from Brisbane in Australia! Received delivery of my new brilliant black sportback manual a few weeks ago with SPP, Sunroof, Black-out Exterior and Interior Pack. Absolutely loving this car to bits! Couple of dodgy pics but you get the idea :p
Great car, is that a solid black or metallic paint?

Cheers
Bob
Great

And another in the shade looks a completely different colour ....

Mind if I ask how much the saloon 19's were? and if they are originals or not, im assuming they just fit on fine or do you need to make any adjustments?

Car looking lovely as per normal though buddy

Thanks matey :friends:

Yes they're original 19s, no adjustments needed 8x19 ET49 with 235/35x19 rubber they just bolt straight on. 10mm larger diameter and stick out towards the arches an extra 8.3mm (prob more like 12mm if you include the wider tyre) more than the 18s. Worth getting alignment checked though just to be on the safe side.

These crop up very occasionally and seem to sell anywhere between £1,300 - £1,750 depending on condition and tyre wear.

Your mirrors look blue from the side and black from the front?

Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Two different cars neither mine unfortunately spotted them appear on Instagram as I am waiting for mine in Ara blue.

can you explain what the 8x19 measurement is? (not fully fluent in all car language just yet!) and yeah they just seem to look a bit sharper than our 18's do, but sounds like they're hard to get hold of? did it take you long/much looking?

8 is the width of the wheel in inches, and obviously 19 is the wheel size.

Same car different angle....it doesnt show off Ara blue....as well...so my photo still Trumps yers...lol but it's in desperate need of a Pan-roof and privacy me thinks.....?

I knew that would stir you up and yes you are right it does show off the hue change way better, which is the only photo I have seen so far that shows that, just below the windows. Sooooo, the King of Blues has regained his lofty perch, until Dougie sends his masterpieces of his steed...not long, about two weeks or so, it is trundling across the Canadian frozen tundra as I write this, looking for a warmer clime. The train is definitely not The Flying Scotsman!

It's taking its time getting there then again from Hungary to Vancouver is a bit of jaunt, but the longer it takes to get you the less bad weather it has to contend with?

Dammit, you are a mind reader...yes I was really concerned with the bad weather we had recently....salt and grit all over the roads for about 6 weeks, very unusual for Vancouver. The weather turned this week back to our seasonal weather, lots of rain. Therefore, I trust that it will hold and I do not have to contend with repairing paint chips. I am really fussy about my cars looking at their best, pampered every week with a bath, towel down, general grooming, fed the best premium fuel and a pat on the bum if she has been a good girl.

Be happy you're not here in Toronto where excess salt on the roads is the norm all winter. That said, either I've been lucky so far or the S3 paint is stronger than some of my past cars as I have yet to accumulate any chips or damage.

@jassyo06...have you got a heads up on pricing yet for an RS3 saloon?
No mate l have not.....A really well educated guess is telling .....me £47k my spec £53k and l know the options l want

1.Ara blue.
2.them upgraded alloys in the photo.
3.Pano-roof.
4.Privacy Glass.
5.Dynamic Package.
6.Super Sport seats.
7.B&0
8.Folding Mirrors
That's it...no gizmos.....maybe Matt Alu pack depends

Nice spec...no gizmos:yahoo:
I almost cancelled my S3 order for an RS3, but with no pricing I was not willing to take the gamble, plus my local dealer has sold 11 already price unknown and people on the waiting list, therefore no deals and at the mercy of dealers selling for more than list price!
Bonus though is probable collectors item.
