Hi guys, new member, first post. Always have a read on the forum for info so signed up.
Sorry if question already asked on another thread, but i have an A4 B8 Avant, 2.0TDI, SE and am looking at new wheels. Currently have standard 17's, standard suspension, and looking at 18's or 19's, posssibly staggered fitment (8.5 front/9.5 rear). Front et42 and rear can be 40 or 35 on the 19's. Anyone know if 35 will cause any issues? Want it to sit much better in the arches.
18's are et45 front( 8.5j) and et40 rear (9.5j)
Or will it be better to not run staggered and just go for 8.5 all round? But they only have an offset of et42 on 19's and et45 on 18's.

8,5 ET26 in the rear and ET30 in the front fits nicely. With a 35mm lowering. No rubbing or such.
Most what I have had was Et20 with 8,5's and 40mm lowering. It was rubbing quite badly in the rear.
In both cases tires were 245/40/18.
My winterset is 7,5*17 ET26 with 225/50/17 and that sits nicely and no rubbing.

Thanks for the reply. Spoke to a local shop and they recommended 19x8.5 et40 all round with 235/35 tyres.

That tire size is much too small. It should be 255/35/19.
And those ET40 is very conservative, comparing to the standard ET45.

Yeah they were listed as the size on a wheel and tyre package but was told they would be too wide, not look right. Standard wheels are only 7j so should look a lot better at 9.5j

I've got 255/35/19 tyres and run an 8.5 all round at et35, had no issues
