Your Audi - how long for a build date?

Ordered my new [heavily loaded] new A3 on 7th Jan (a Saturday). Dealer placed the order on Monday 9th - can see the order in YourAudi order tracker. It has sat at the "Welcome / your order has arrived at the factory in Ingoldstat" status for over a week now, i.e. not even moved onto the "Order Received" stage.

I am guessing I am going to get shafted with a long wait for a build slot. The only reason for asking is that I ordered my current A3 on about the 4th Jan some 4yrs ago and got a week 8 build slot & took delivery in the 1st week in March.

If the delivery rolls over to April (new tax rules) I am not over bothered - other than wanting the car asap - as it's written on the order form for £330 extra discount on the price to cover 3yrs difference in the road tax for any delivery date after 1st April.

Just ordered one through company car scheme.

Placed order through Arval first week of Jan and assigned to Watford Audi

In youraudi I have a build week of 13th of March.

Order date on youraudi says it was placed mid december so i'm guessing the car was already on order through the dealer and they've adjusted it to suit my requirments
 
I ordered an S3 end of November and am currently being told Bw20. Sigh. I think this is to do with issues regarding order numbers for the 2.0 litre TFSI so may not impact you. Usually takes a couple of weeks to go from welcome to order received I wouldn't worry about it. Just part of the long wait.
 
I half suspect that is where I got lucky on my current A3 order - the dealer (or rather Sytner group, so quite a big dealership) had a car on order allocated to them that they could modify. Time till tell.
 
It took nearly 2 weeks for my order stage to move to "Order Received". Unless your dealership is using a current build slot they have allocated, I think you will struggle to get a build date before April (going off what people on here have said).
 
I've been waiting for 3 weeks and my order still hasn't moved to recieved on YourAudi, I have a feeling a might not be seeing my A3 before the new tax rules :/

Although looking at it, it does say that my order was placed 15/12/16 so it must have been an order JCT600 had and have just assigned to me so could be better or not!
 
I've just cancelled my S3 hatchback order due to ridiculous wait times. Ordered at the beginning of October,youraudi has only just moved from the welcome screen and it's now saying construction due to start April 24th!
The dealer originally stated early January when ordering and they cannot come up with a reason for such the long wait. I've lost all interest so have cancelled the car.

How come so long? Altered order / unusual spec / exclusive colour?
Mine was ordered mid September and arrived mid November.

Nope,nothing unusual in my spec. I ordered the following:

S3 Hatchback S-Tronic
Daytona Grey
Technology Pack Advanced
Privacy Glass
B&O
Supersport Seats in Black
Folding Mirrors
Advanced Key

I've had no useful updates from the dealer every time I've chased them. They just came back everytime saying they're still waiting for a build week from Audi. But I've had enough.No way would I have ordered if they said it was going to be 7-8 months. It's really frustrating seeing some of you guys who have ordered around the same time as me and you've had them delivered.

7-8 months is shocking.
What's you're plans now?
 
I ordered mine 12 December S3 in Daytona s tronic 5 door, build date is 6th Feb and delivery 15th march

I ordered mine (according to your Audi) 16/11/2016 and my build date is 20th Feb.

I ordered on December the 6th and mines just getting on the boat! :footy: S3 BE

I asked for a cigar humidor in the arm rest, could it be that?

I mean, I asked for quite a few options; s-tronic, ara blue, folding mirrors, dimming rear view, SS seats, mag ride, tech pack, B&O, light inlays, hold assist, ACC and advanced key. A reasonable amount but nothing out of the ordinary :/

Ha, minus the colour your spec is the same as mine. Good choice sir! :)

But no, nothing odd about that, did you speak to the stealer?

Could be that that's holding it up then haha

The only things in your spec I haven't got are the light inlays, ACC and advanced key.

I have daytona be, ss seats, tech advanced, folding mirrors, black roof rails, extended leather pack, advanced key, stronic. Sportback. Mine only took 4 weeks from date of order to build completion.

I'm checking mine everyday to move to prep, my Mrs ordered a Q2 after me (late November) and hers has rocketed through QC and now heading to the port!

I ordered November and have last week in May currently...
 
Spoke to Audi UK today and my build week should be confirmed next Wednesday. Told it could go three ways. Move back to build week 10, stay where it is or move forward.

Fingers crossed for the latter.

Ordered in october - assigned january build week-
Assigned late january build week (20th)----- heard nothing from Audi until the 14th of january- car has been built and shipped ... so If your lucky maybe earlier

I ordered my mrs a q2 as well! But my s3 overtook the q2 :search:.. no point trying to understand the factory haha

(Ordered them both on the same day)

Still no word from the dealer (or stealer!) or the Your Audi website. What is the best number to contact Audi UK on for some truthful answers as to what is / is not happening? 2 weeks now and nothing.
 
Ordered my A3 23/12 and got a build start 6th March..
